Recent newspaper articles have identified this as a cult and the pastor, Robbin Leeroy Harper, as a "controlling" leader. Here are several quotes:

Brenda said Harper began to want "more and more control" from members, and so she left the church.

You can do a name search here for a summary of criminal court records in Washington state [dw.courts.wa.gov]

You can then look over the summary for cases like Kitsap Superior Case Number: 07-1-01540-8 which began 10-30-2007 with notice of arrest. Several orders for sexual assault protection are listed.
