In extreme cases, some groups on cult lists train their recruiters in ways to tune us out when we keep telling them we do not want to sign up to do their seminars or training programs.
This example is reportedly used by Landmark Education operatives. Landmark derives from Werner Erhard's est program.
Getting tuned out this way could be considered a form of gaslighting. It would certainly be crazy making.
