You sound pretty recovered already

It greatly works in your favor that you were able to challenge them before you left. It is much harder when someone has given the best years of their lives to a group and then to be ejected by them--that's worse. Far better to defy them--you take your power back.

It sounds like you dont really 'need' recovery because you already have it.

It is indeed wrong that they continue to thrive. But they are only thriving in terms of money and the crudest form of coercive power. Unless Sharon is lucky enough to repent or drops dead suddenly, she will become old and helpless and begin losing control. Ugly power struggles and factions will begin to form around her, as people prepare to squabble over the money and who will inherit leadership. Sharon will be coaxed, perhaps pressured to favor someone in her will and disinherit others. This means she will have the experience of knowing she'll be vulnerable to the kind of isolation and exploitation that she has inflicted on her students.

Unless she makes amends.

Truth and Karma will eventually prevail.

Good luck sorting all this out.

Eventually, all the idols of silver and gold will fall. Cults gain power because they promise people what the people want to hear regardless if it's reasonable or realistic. Recovery, true recovery can take years and you can never be totally sure.
Take it one day at a time.
