Hi,
I'm new to this site and I'm interested in connecting up with other family members whose loved ones have entered cults. I'm in Kansas City and I wonder how I go about finding a group nearby (or starting one). I think it would be very helpful to be in a study/discussion/sharing group.

Hi Pammy...

Yes, very helpful! Check out the major cult recovery web sites, many have listings of various recovery therapists who conduct groups, or you can phone them to get referrals.

be careful though.. some of these recovery groups get a bit overprotective... and it can be suffocating.

I know someone who joined a cult and has changed his behvior completely. It is called the Kabbalah centre of New York. Owned by the Bergs who are extremely greedy and manipulative people. If you need someone to talk to for support, please feel free to correspond with me.
