Rick, Im well aware of how much $$$ NXIVM has accumulated in its 7 year existence, Clifton Park is full of $$$. And apparently people who have no idea how to spend it. It makes me sick to my stomach to realize that they are using our Legal System to protect thier rights to take advantage of others.

What needs to happen is some form of a class action law suit that prohibits people from using the unscrupulous methods, regardless of signed consent forms, employed by LGATS of all kinds . People like Kieth and Nancy want to prevent people from sharing negative experiences and endangering thier operation by suing anyone who opposes them. Fight fire with fire I say.

Class action suits are complex and difficult.

Many people have suffered terribly as you point out. I know because complaints are constantly coming in.

NXIVM's litigation has only succeeded in focusing more attention on the group and they will ultimately lose.

Slap suits like this usually do fail and create bad results for those that file them.

In a way being sued by groups like NXIVM is a compliment. It is the closest thing to an award the Ross Institute can expect from folks like Keith Raniere and Nancy Salzman.

Attempting to suppress information on the Internet through harassment lawsuits seems to be tacit recognition that an organization cannot deal with criticism and/or facts about it being made available publicly.

Of course it puts people like Raniere and Salzman in the position of fighting against the First Amendment.

Ironically, such groups want the freedom to sell or preach whatever in the marketplace, but they apparently don't wish to afford others the freedom to respond critically to them.

It has been rather quiet since the last court defeat. Wonder when Kristin Snyders death is going to draw more attention to this circus of clowns.

i think they are done with kristin Synders. Unfortunatly, Nancy Salzman only deseminated a one sheet piece of paper to explain Kristin's story to her students. She wrote a brief paragraph of how they weren't associated with the death. Then a long winded paragraph of the over 5000 people they have helped in the last few years. I wonder who these people are?
I was very disturbed by the lack of care for another persons life when I read it. They probably included kristin Synder in that count...this isnt a joke, they would do this.
At the time i was taking one of their classes and was doing so to smooth things out with myself and people there. I wanted to leave on a good note. Unfortunatly, this soon turned into the coach claiming that I stole from them and how I took out of integrity and whatever else oh this one I wasn't taking responsibility. I was so disgusted with this. She got her information second hand and for a coach she was very unprofessional. This was personal information, since when does a professional organization just yell out this stuff. There was also nothing I could have stolen. They think their technology is such great and new technology. I wanted to say to her 'First of all you dont have a technology. Then if you are implying that I took classes because they were offered to me under the guise that they had work for me, then how can i possibly steal something that was already stolen. Paraphrased plagerized material. From a guy that claims he is an expert but has no formal training in anything. Nor has he done anything outstanding in any field to be called an expert.'' But I didn't because as inappropiate as she was I felt that I couldn't be that way. The other people in the room had a lot of respect for me. I saw the horror in their faces after her comment. That just isn't something you yell out in a crowd full of people especially when it is false.
