pbsguy you saw skullduggery in the music business. Recalling John's thinking that music business was the domain of Satan. Bob from Impact was musically talented and Gruenberg who John pushed to write Kingdom music but John was never satisfied with Gruenberg reaching what John thought was Kingdom music. Summation of the LW: Reach for it and we will shoot you down.

changed again, on the Simon bio, read a review at dentist office in a copy of O magazine and thought Oprah book club would offer it as a free e-download which generated the question to you. In checking, not so, O magazine reviews not related to O club. BTW, never attracted to the LW because of the worship and those extended long versions gave me a headache. Venting is good.

Ha--I recall a "Yasper" confiding in me about the long worship services. He too said they gave him a headache.

From what I recall, Gruenberg functioned with integrity. Now John...

I relate to CG. He left and returned to the LW. His music career took him outside of the LW. Wasn't as isolated as the rest us. But you can feel like you are in deep (the LW), invested all the years, now he's pushing 70's and he was mentored by John. The John bond can keep the old timers loyal. No disrespect intended. Once thought CG came back to LW because of his son JG. Not sure. BTW--ordered Simon bio.

Interesting conversation CA and Nickle. While I was in line in the grocery store today, a magazine cover story on the Doors caught my attention. So here's another tidbit of Walk history to agree or disagree over. Apparently JRS ministered to Jim Morrison of the Doors and JM became a believer. JM died shortly thereafter. I can't confirm this but I think the ministry might have occurred in Laguna or Newport.

The Jim Morrison ministry is a great Walk story, lily, and true. Bad boy of rock n roll hits bottom, seeks help from John. Most media reporting JM died a Satanist on drugs. Recall JM in the movie version as troubled, into the occult, hearing voices. Ironically, I hit bottom while in the church.

Heads up: Gary's in Brazil.

It seems the Brazilians are much more responsive to his "ministry."
