"Shiloh owns more than 200 acres south of Kalona city limits. The property includes several buildings, a water system with a 150,000-gallon water tower, a three-stage sewer lagoon, a lake, multiple ponds, ball fields, an amphitheater and forest area."

And apparently, still does.
And the city of Kalona may end up eventually owning the amphitheater. Interesting.
Just because a nonprofit gives away property it built in violation of IRS rules for nonprofits, doesn't mean they are off the hook for their history of violations. If money is involved, there will be a paper trail. If tax exempt money was used to benefit an individual, especially an insider (someone involved in the oversight of a nonprofit or is a family member of a leader) there will be tax consequences no matter how they plan to divest themselves of the "thing."
Where is Shiloh U going to be housed?
If Shiloh (or whoever owns all those acres not being given to the City) sets up parcels for homes to be built, it would be nice if they would consider benefitting people who gave everything to Shiloh starting with the Bender family.

That seems like the Christian thing to do, which means it probably won't happen. Sorry for being snarky. I think I need a drink :)
