and--he actually got a millionaire atheist to convert at that revival--something the LW has never done--and couldn't do. Ha!!! Outsourcing salvation.

Thanks Larry. I don't doubt that John had tapes and literature. I'd be interested to know how much was William Branham because I came across information that had been verified regarding Jim Jones (People's Temple) and Branham crossing paths many times. Apparently Jones learned how to conduct healing services from Branham and he often mimicked Branham's ministry.

Really? This seems like a conspiracy. It just makes me sick the more I think about the years this hoaxter took from people who never got to really live for so many years.

Let's not give up hope. If the plug gets pulled due to the fact that the old are retiring, the young are only a fraction of what was, they have mouths to feed--and their children are decades from tithing---and they are yet a fraction of their parent's generation. We will be their for everyone when that day comes and I hope that is soon. Let's hope that they will turn to those who have left--and we can have a party--and reconnect. Wishful thinking? I never dreamed I was living in a lie--I thought I was the lie. But it isn't so.

I think that anyone who finds freedom can cope with it--it is the sense of loss of people and connections that is also very painful. I think that it is criminal that people like us who leave--have to give up our relationships even with each other just to -- just to what I don't know but it is not fair and I hope that someday we can all connect for real in some way human and have coffee and donuts. It just isn't right we have all been buffaloed--to hell with them--they took my very own from me. I hope that it all comes crashing down in one great big AHA! Moment. G is just a sick little man--very sick, insecure and if people saw that--and Silas too--I see them thrusting each other through one day--just wait for it. Go to Brazil you cowards--go ahead and take the plunge.

This forum is really difficult to follow if you're not checking it everyday.:)

SOUTHGATE: Thank you! I know that God loves me and has kept me.

TMASON: Broken toy, that's funny & sad.

NICKELANDDIMED: Are you serious, that you are scared and careful about what you post on here? That makes me a little nervous. I want to be free to talk here.... I'm open to PM messages and happy to talk to anyone that wants an outlet.

LILYROSE: Thank you!

I was in Los Angeles, CLW & TLW during the 90's-2002. Prior to that Anaheim & Southgate - went to Summer camps in Kalona. I used to clean for M & G, I worked for the church & school a lot. I wasn't in the inner circle or anything, I'm sure glad I wasn't, it's been hard enough as it is.

LA was the worst move my parents could have made-it really changed my personality and devastated my innocence and solidified (at the time) the isolation into knowing only those church people. So many things happened there, my parents still don't know the whole of it, I guess I was trying to protect them and of course they thought they were doing the best thing for me by putting me in COL. I would have been safer in a public school, at least I would have had my guard up and known I needed to protect myself. At COL & CTLW I thought I was among my Christian family. Not so much.

I think God is taking me through a process of redemption now. I'm praying and learning to trust people again, and through that I have discovered someone in my new church that has experience helping people through recovery from cult & high-demand groups. I hope everyone here that feels they need that can find it.

HOWMIDOING:

Great post--you're doing fine.

I put in 35 years, from the "far west to the far east", and many points in between. I fortunately exited unscathed but know of many who were not as fortunate. You can PM me anytime about anything--I'm sure we have crossed paths somewhere on our journey.

All the best in your NEW LIFE.
