When conformity was preferable to self-determination/reason. No longer:
My late uncle, William F. McKenna is mentioned in the two articles (below). He stopped relating to me shortly after I dropped out of college. At the time I was starting my junior year at the University of Redlands (Fall 1975), holding a respectable GPA (3.6). He knew it was a terrible decision, but I was heavily influenced by all the nonsense spewed from the pulpit by JRS (and company) that suggested higher education should not be a priority. After all, if the 'Kingdom' is coming soon (supposedly 1979), what's the point of having a college degree?
