Here is the latest video interview from The Living Word Cult on YouTube:
[youtu.be].

These videos all aid in recognizing the disjointed havoc that many of us experienced for so many years. They also give insight into the differences in experience of the various generations. Thank you, Scott Barker! Two thumbs up!

I'm trying to exude a little more warmth in my communication to family members, which hasn't been easy given my TLWF experience.
I think I'm finally making some progress. Here is an email I sent early this morning to my daughters, that I believe has a softer and more relatable tone.
I haven't heard back from them yet, but I'm confident I will some time today, and both will convey that I am now finally abiding in a new day.

My stool sample came back negative, so that should spare me a colonoscopy for the next year.
Anyway, I thought you might like to hear some good news.
Have a pleasant Saturday.

Thinking of You,
DAD

note: I forgot to mention that my birthday is coming up soon, and drop yet another hint about that carved turtle coffee table I've mentioned a half dozen times before. Oh well. I trust they will do the right thing.

Very reasonable--thanks.
I'll send them a link in my next email, and see if they finally get the hint.

A few references to the infamous coffee table in this forum some years ago:

excerpt:
As for the furniture reference - I don't know about the coffee table of Israel, but I do vividly remember the whole fellowship raising funds for some big birthday that G was having. All he wanted was this expensive, ornate coffee table with sea turtle carvings in it. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was in the thousands (if not tens of thousands) of dollars. I scanned the pics of the house G is selling in Hawaii, but I couldn't find it there. I just wanted to see what my offerings had gone to buy. Guess I kinda did with the house itself, though...

JJJ:

We took an offering for that coffee table at Shiloh. I remember it vividly and I think everyone was shown a picture either before or after the purchase. When the "Coffee Table of Israel" was mentioned, my very first thought was of this coffee table that Marilyn wanted to give Gary. Is it too late to ask for my money back? =)

What would be your advice to the former president in how he should respond to the charges facing him, and others soon to come?

I don't even know what they are yet.

Just take a stab at it. What's your inclination in how he should plea?

In Christ's Blood.

Shalom posted her letters to shepherds of The Living Word Fellowship (which had gone unanswered and largely ignored) in a public Facebook post on October 25th of 2018. By November 1st of the same year, Gary Hargrave had posted an apology letter on the internet. This, after years of privately responding to these crimes by saying things like "eventually abuse happens in all churches".

Then, he signed the apology letter:

Did this mean that 'God in the Sky' forgave him for his role in covering up the abuse that went on for decades, much of it involving his wife's son, and then directed him to a "higher calling?"
Nevermind.
