Sounds like "black mail" cards to be filed for future use.

It sure does, NancyB. What a crock. Once you see the crazy, you can never unsee it.

Poem written by Janja Lalich in 1986, one year after leaving the Democratic Workers Party political cult. She went from cult member to cult expert. For more to this story, here is the link. I can relate to her powerful words.
[culteducation.com]

"I guess the worst part about it
is what they did to my brain
They took my brain
and along with it my feelings
my control
my passion
and my love.

They took my brain and made me something
other than I wanted to be
I lost sight of the meaning
I sunk into the madness
I lost my self-control
my self-respect
my self.

I wanted to make a better world
I was willing to fight for that
willing to sacrifice
But they took my soul
turned it inside out
made me something other than I wanted to be

And I guess the worst part about it
is that I did the same thing to others
just like me"

Thanks for sharing the poem by Janja Lalich, Reep. It certainly connects to the experience most of us here had while in TLWF.

Good point, kBOY!

Possible Gary Hargrave resume: I specialize in collateral damage. In fact, I feel that I am best qualified for a worldwide ministry in collateral damage, gaslighting and sheep beating. I am also destructively ambitious and require millions of dollars as well as devoted servants to attend to my every need. Aforementioned servants will receive no compensation other than the privilege of serving me, naturally.

Thousands of 'living words' that bore little if no resemblance to the lives of those who brought them. Ministers preaching sacrifice and dedication to the flock while padding their own bank accounts. Unlike 'Kingdom' workers, I doubt John was living off $80 a month in the mid-to-late 70's...and later G & M were often ostentatious in their financial blessedness (jewelry, clothes, multiple luxury homes etc.). Fortunately, many of us have recovered...or are in the process of recovering, from relentless TLWF gaslighting. But it has taken a very long time to realize it is morally acceptable to question those who claim to be speaking for God, and overcome the fear of the inevitable vicious backlash. Regaining freedom has been an arduous process (at least for me), but well worth it. These online forums have been invaluable.
