Remember, I knew Marilyn very well and in many ways from the time she was sixteen until our divorce. I would pick up our kids at the Blix house but never went in, waiting at the curb. One time, after returning the kids from a trip to Lion Country, she was waiting outside near the curb, and scolded me for being 10 minutes late. I wasn't. . . . I doubt that many knew that Marilyn had been great at playing the Hawaiian guitar, but wouldn't play it for just anyone. I don't know if she ever did at church or anywhere else.
As for her "thinking" herself "perfection," early on she had been embarrassed and even upset whenever someone complimented her on her looks in public. That must have changed, apparently using it as some springboard to a power over others. I never saw it, and contrary, she had been mostly the opposite . . . .
