jrs was a delusional visionary. i bought into it for a time. the marilyn/hargrave juggernaut was only visionary with respect to the money.

Hi Prettyboy,

The response from ex-leaders of TLWF and those who remain loyal to them.

p.s. I can understand you wanting to get off the "steamrolling train." All the best, and keep in touch :)

Looking forward to it, CARe. Welcome!

Does anyone know happened to Bruce Larson of the San Diego church? Fired? Still active? Or simply moved on?

Hi Prettyboy - The disingenuous reference by changedagain I believe is to the responses from the leaders - they pr4omised investigations and counseling but so far I have heard from several people who have called the investigation number and who have never been called back and I also understand the counseling has not been followed through with.

The apologies came with promises of reform but then everything slunk back below the surface of the water like an old gator and hasn't been seen since.

We still have a lot of work to do. Keeping our mouths yapping on this site seems a good way to keep everything moving.

Welcome Camus. The last thing I heard was that Bruce Larson is taking control of the San Diego church and holding it loyal to Gary Hargrave and the LW.

Based on what I've heard, this isn't true. The San Diego church is still in limbo - some loyalists, some who want something new. Nothing has been decided.
But, BL is still around.

Yes--empty promises to escape accountability. It's worked in the past, so why break the pattern? (s/)

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Based on history, I think it's reasonable to assume Hargrave and Larsen will not operate in good faith, and look after their own interests first and foremost. Empty promises serve to buy time...so they can pursue what they really want.
