Attaching files was cumbersome, so I just used an old website I created a hundred or so years ago and put the pics up there. Let me know if this link doesn't work for you or if you have questions.

Pardon the name. I was building this for a pharmacist who also used natural and herbal preparations.. hence, herbalpharmer.

Also - this is only the memorial cemetery - the one between Shiloh and Marilyn Farms, where John is buried. It was a cemetery before, of course, but looked nothing like this until recently, though I don't know when. There is another cemetery for non-elite members. (Non-founding? Non-JRS-linked? Don't know how politically correct to be...) That other cemetery is on Nutmeg Avenue. It's very low-key and simple but well maintained.

Don't know if it is just an oversite, but I certainly may not have the

harrowing story to share that some of you have, but I want to think that I am

just as welcome as they are. I'm sorry but I was not

welcomed to the site as your newest poster has. It was difficult enough just

to even poke a toe in the water to register here, but I would like to think

that you welcome everyone/anyone here for healing and closure, not

just the ones walking in with a "can you top this" scenario. I certainly

don't minimize others' nightmares; thank God they survived it and I pray they

experience healing.

I've done a lot of work on my own for 36 years in getting past and getting

free from the Walk to the point my husband and I reconciled after 28 years!

We recently made contact w/a family originally from Calif. who

moved to Iowa many moons ago who lost both sons and her husband.

(Her youngest was the very first one to die at Shiloh and predeceased John, no

other cemetery at the time) so he's in the ground on John's area.

After I saw the recent news of Gary's resignation, I made contact with her

again (she and her first husband were like family to mine and we go way back

with her kids, etc. They are very accepting of us,

which is a healing in itself. By the way, her first husband and oldest son are

buried on Nutmeg.

Blessing to all who visit this site,

pobHg

JJJ:

Muchas gracias for the cemetery pics. More than I had anticipated.

The last time I remember walking through the cemetery (early 2000's), there was nothing higher than the tallest blade of grass--after it was mowed. Now it looks like a walled-in mini-city, probably in a futile attempt to keep out the 'mixed-multitude'.

PRESSINGonbyHISGRACE:

Please take no offense--there is no official 'welcoming committee', as people are on and off this sight all the time.

But, let me WELCOME you now. We certainly want your participation and added narrative to the whole TLW saga as it unfolds. Most of us are still in shock at the level of outrageous things perpetrated out of our sight for decades.

The great benefit you will find here is the re-connections that are slowly taking place, and will continue to into the foreseeable future.

JJJ - Thank you for the pictures. The cemetary is really ugly with all the big walls like a prison. I'm shocked really. My dad is buried there and is buried near Bob McClane, Lou Ann Stiver (who are both relatives). And apparently there is space for my mom's ashes to be buried but that is never going to happen if I can help it.

My dad's name is David C. Wyatt. I wonder if you have a picture of his grave (it has a marker)? I would like to picture were he is in relation to the walled in area.

Thank you for your work and sharing this.

Pressingon - Don't be offended if no one responded yet to you. No one on here is seeking a place or to be known as the biggest and best victim. All are welcome so long as respect is shown for fellow victims. I am glad to hear (read) what you have to post.

Onion, kBOY and All:

Thank you for this site and the painful work you have gone through over the years to revisit the wounds and apply salve not just to your own hurts but dressing the hurts of those of us who may've recently stepped in to address and acknowledge a painful past, of which we all have in common, albeit in various ways.

Jesus is our Great High Priest, and no man or entity can rob us of His Love, Tender Care and Mercy toward us all.

Love, in Him,

pobHg - thanks for all of your posts. Apologies for our lack of acknowledgement. Sometimes we are good hosts, and sometimes we get wrapped up in all of the activity and posts (as you know, A LOT has been happening). We appreciate those that take the time to tell their story. It may appear to go unnoticed, but those of us reading realize another person is taking a step to heal and inform.

My comments on the cemetery: it has to be one of the ugliest cemeteries I have ever seen. It looks like an abandoned construction sight from a lost city.

that little red flag:

Agreed!

I remember Bill Grier--Wow. I heard a bunch of elders left clw back then and went to live on commune. I wonder if some of them branched off after the 1967 split. I would very much like it if you joined the survivors FB page- Onion is right--people need to hear how dangerous this "Living Word" really is on so many levels.

welcome
