I'm glad that you have a revelation of ME. I have some work to do on my house and in my yard, so I need a volunteer. Also, when you come over, you can bring me your tithes and offerings. Always, Changedagain, remember, submit, always in all things, submit. Never question, you mind is the enemy of your spirit, therefore, repent until you mind is completely empty. I'll tell you what to think. You can trust me, and only me.

I was pleasantly surprized to find this link still active:

I don't know, when I was reading some of that link Paleface, I saw something that seems to stand out in my mind, there seems to be a constant. People seem to notice a distinct change in the late 70s, and especially around 1980, such as the revising of the First Principles. More than one person has said that they stared noticing more craziness, more demanding submission in the churches out west along about the late 70s and especially around 1980. Well, we all know what even happened about that time, the divorce, and the remarriage. I can't help but think, from piecing together so many accounts, that Marilyn was in there somewhere in the background.

The "purples" affectionatly call Marilyn "the killer". Her spirit animal is a lion.

AD- I think what is more plausible (and I am surprised you haven't considered it) is that if anyone influenced JRS in the background late 70's to 1980 it was the ministries, APCO, those to whom JRS gave power in many instances before they were ready for it, before they knew the Lord and His ways, before they read the Bible. Marilyn was a secretary and while I am sure she gave her input, I doubt what she said carried the same weight as the militant young sons of John.

Gary often conferred with Marilyn while he was pastoring. She did have a strong influence during that time period (late 70's).

Let's not forget that Marilyn was advertised as "John's perfect other half". This was a strong theme at their wedding.

And after John died it was brought out in a word how John's big sin had been not opening up to Marilyn fully.

Those close to G&M have observed that it is not a 50/50 relationship. Marilyn is running things. Gary is just her mouthpiece. The current LWF is very much a matriarchal organization.

All speculation.

WTF, Lilly Rose? What grounds are you using to dismiss what I posted? I won't reveal my sources, but they are extremely reliable.

Do posts now need footnotes with references before they are considered valid?
