Okay, I'll try Pastor Bruce Larson's advice...."put your hands around your throat and strangle yourself till you pass out and recall that thought..."

"And Jesus said unto them, take your hands and put them around your own neck and strangle yourself until you pass out and those thoughts will go away."

Just for fun, I am going to try this. Here is the link to a video. There could be a lot said for at least one of these guys on this video, but it aint about that, it's about the girl in the video. She is just perfect and primed for membership in the Living Word Fellowship. Name of the video is Bethel women or whatever, you can pull it up when you see it, I think it has a picture of a blond girl in it. that's the one. [youtu.be]

I doubt if the link will just pull up, you will have to type it in and google it probably but it is worth it. You might recognize in this girl the total lack of respect for theology, the absolute ignoring or reality, and the disdain for logic.
It's pretty funny. Hope it comes through.

A lot has been written about this. You might read here:

[forum.culteducation.com]

Basically John Miller was told he was "too influencial" and was taking the focus off of Marilyn. G&M put him on a "program" at Shiloh, where he worked on Shiloh U and could only attend services as a sheep, never to step on the platform.

I understand that Miller raised a question about something possibly being done unethically. Bamm! He was fired and excommunicated immediately. Oh course the LW people were kept in the dark and told not to ask. And definatly to not talk to John Miller.

I suspect they were told that John Miller chose to leave. Which is not the case.

My take is that John Miller knew too much. He had to go.

Humiliate, and pressure out of the fellowship, those that present a challenge to you...the M.O. of Marilyn and Gary.
I went through one of those demotions where I was put on display to my peers as basically a nobody. I suspect it was the result of something I said about Rick that was unflattering, not sure--but it cost me. In any event, I persevered through my 1-year disciplinary program (like any good cult zombie), and eventually rose to a mid-level ministry again...until I eventually got fed up and left for good.
I wonder how many members of Apco (post-John) became alienated from Marilyn and Gary? Off the top of my head I can think of these: Miller, Bill Mabie (sp?), Dan Statton, Mike Shermerhorn, Bob McClane...

I love how God has different ways of getting folks out of TLWF. Have mid level managers screw the little people so they leave and then have the managers screw the mid level guys so they leave.

I think I was a pretty lenient mid-level manager. I recall often telling members of the fellowship not to show up to services and work days if they didn't feel up to it. Maybe that is what got me into trouble.
