An instant classic!

Well, I guess its time for the faithful to do their annual pilgrimage to Shiloh for the 4th of July. Anybody going?

A while back during a vacation and much to my surprise, stayed at a b&b inn that was owned/run by Carol Grunenberg. Carol and Craig once pastored South Gate and Honolulu. After they divorced Carol dropped Grunenberg as her last name. Carol, Lucy Gospodnetich (Honolulu Fellowship,) and Margeret ? (Shiloh late 70's) are cousins and were beneficiaries to the $250 Million sell of the family newspaper. Maybe Lucy was one of the donors to the multi million ocean front Honolulu Fellowship. I know some of you like to hear about "where are they now."

Yes. They are part of the Twiggs-Smith family. I believe they are cousins. Margaret married Scott Fivish and they both live in the Pacific NW and make wine, as I recall. John and Lucy help lead the Oahu LW church. I hear they bought Gary and Marilyn their first swank house on Diamond Head.

It has been said: "We sacrificed our families on the alter of dedication"

We tried so hard to prove just how dedicated we were. Our home lives suffered. Our kids grew up robbed of the normal experiences that familes have. Normal vacations, family reunions, Christmas time, etc. Because all of our free time was sucked up by the church. This is one of my deep regrets.

I hope members of the fellowship aren't being lured into providing free labor to maintain this house, as part of the upward flow.

Of course not everyone is allowed the privilege of being able to work at Gary and Marilyn’s houses. You have to be cleared and deemed suitable. You have to demonstrate that you have “Marilyn’s thinking” so that you can touch things properly. House cleaning, yard work, etc. Only the special inner circle people get to do this stuff. BTW, there is no pay. This is your ministry to Christ in the Earth (i.e. The Lamp of Israel). “It’s good to be the king.”

I knew John and Lucy when they were in the valley church. John and I helped pastor the Sepulveda Church before Matt Walkoe was formally set in. I was working at Fineline Graphics at the time. My wife was teaching in the valley school. I did not know the Grunenburgs were divorced. ;o(

That must be a blessed assurance for the Gospodnetichs that is to say that G&M probably won't excommunicate them. I want to say something about the the inner circle.....

You're not going to reveal that I was never in it, are you? :)
