The University of Salford would like to invite you to take part in some important research. In addition to myself, Jill Aebi-Mytton, the research team includes Dr Rod Dubrow-Marshall and Dr Linda Dubrow-Marshall.This research has been given ethical approval by the University of Salford.

We are looking for former members of cultic groups all over the world. We currently have over 160 different groups identified by leavers as cultic.

The main objectives of this study are to generate a clearer understanding of the psychological health and well-being amongst former members of cults. We are now 9 months into this research and have over a 1100 participants - but we need more and strangely we have twice as many women as men taking part so we are encouraging men to participate.

Upfront - the survey is quite long depending to some extent on your answers. Thankfully there is a system whereby participants can click on the "Finish Later" tab and take a break but if you do decide to do this please take note of the message at the top of page 3.

If you have any questions please ask here or send me an email on e.j.aebi@salford.ac.uk
