Hello there

I used to be part of the 'Eternal Flame' - in fact my parents were, from
when I was 3 to when I was 10.

The thought they could live forever.

I want to warn people about this group as it still has thousands of members worldwide.

I live in the UK, it wasn't as big over here as it was in the US but we
still had quiet a big group, they met every Friday in The Columbia Hotel
in Central London, opposite Hyde Park.

I visited Scottsdale twice to attend a 'convergence' as well as Israel,
Holland and Germany.

I went to Chuck, Bernie and Jim's house once when I was about 8 and I
remember thinking how rich they were.

There were paeodaphiles, criminals and mentally insane people allowed to
freely have contact with children on a regular basis, because everyone
was accepted, everyone was welcome.

My best friend at the time (and still a close friend now) was taken up
onto the stage in Scottsdale during a 'meeting' when she was 6 years old
and ripped apart by Bernie because she liked to wear 'boys clothes' -
she was told in front of hundreds of people that she was wrong and was
not a boy therefore she should wear girls clothes. Her mother (who is a
dear friend of my family and a wonderful woman) had been brainwashed by
these people to the point that she sat there and let this happen to her
own child.

I myself have many traumatic memories from being a part of this cult.

Once at a convergence in Bonn, Germany, we were all staying in a Youth
Hostel and the key to the room that I was staying in was lost. We had to
pay for a new one.
Everybody thought I had lost it so I was made to stand in front of
hundreds of adults while someone said 'Dominique has lost the key, she
now will walk around the room and collect the money that you are all
willing to contribute to replace the key' - which is what I had to do. I
was 9 years old. It turns out a girl that was staying in my room had the
key in her pocket the whole time.

I also remember a man who reguarly attended our meetings, someone who
was regularly in my house and actually lived with my friend in her
house, standing up in a meeting and admitting that he had sexual
feelings towards children. This was accepted and he was not turned away.

I am looking for help for my daughter who is non-functional; extremely paranoid but reaching out for help. She has left People forever but still believes she is immortal. She has tried working with a couple therapists but doesn't continue because she can't relate. She wants to find a therapist who understands this philosophy or has experience with them. Please let me know if you know of anyone she can talk to or can refer us to a therapist. We are in Phoenix, Arizona USA

There is a counselor in Arizona, Terry Kurtz, who has general experience dealing with cults and counseling former members.

It seems though that your daughter may still be programmed by her group experience.

You might consider deprogramming.
