Just came across this forum. I too was one who left in 2016 and am willing to answer any questions. As someone that was born and raised in this self-centered community and was in one of the “privileged” families I still have many regrets and lost years I’ll never get back. I feel damaged, angry, swindled. My heart aches for those that were shunned over the years.

We were shunned 10 years and had enough BS so we quit July 2 2000. I committed financial suicide which I have never recovered from but only survived with a substandard position underemployed with one of the two federal agencies, underutilized abilities not needed or known in Lake City.The only time we got some smiles [ as insurance we would participate giving ] was during the building quarterly collection funds campaigns. Old and retired still have to forgive the bs we endured.

Presently studying a course to renew my mind from the scars carved in my soul from this cult.

The healing process is hard with a monkey wrench sometimes when I think about what I have learned the truth about Charles Meade sex escapades, screwing selected women and young 18+ adults and he got away with it on earth. Even having the approval of Marlene and the stupid selected women who thought it a privilege and then think I, my son and wife WERE SHUNNED FOR 10 YEARS, no explanation!!!!!!!!!! Makes my blood boil and I have to go through the forgiveness routine all over again. Then history repeats itself with James Burbach who ignored my 5 attempts to make sure it was ok to attend a service, BUT it was not !!! but it was ok for him to embezzle money from the church, buy expensive luxury vehicles and frequent Strip Clubs in Las Vagas Nevada and Cancun Mexico..... Very hard at this time for me to TRUST those oh so holy people with a gift of gab at the pulpit. Lots of people left to join up with John Linton [ boisterous clone of Charlie Meade ] who broke off because the leadership team would not give him the mantle so he started his own church meeting at a hotel, history repeat. Another building fund people, Wake up stupids. Many of the same people remain all were guilty of shunning us. I think they were only friendly and nice to us with some conversations during the Roger Webb seminars to bring membership back up. I am thankful to one special former member who woke up. Great information. Someday I may write a book about this hell.

Very sad news to report and then you all can figure out who I am for those who only guess. Last night at 9:00 PM two policemen from Marion County Ocala FL knocked on my door to sadly tell us that our son Vincent Paul was found dead in his condo apartment. He never recovered from all of the shunning from youth gatherings orchestrated by Missy Cady Kampmeyer deliberately keeping him out of fun times and laughing about it and no woman to call his own. Mr and Mrs Bastard Meade when we asked about any possible woman for wife, both shouted in unison NO NO ONE!!!!!!!!!!! cursing him to loneliness. I told Annette about her brother's death and she said " I dont know what to say." She always was a turncoat only made up Not even sorry for your loss dad. And her asshole redneck husband Kevin Kimball had the gaul to tell me that he died by his lifestyle instead of " sorry for your loss". I wrote back on FB that I want to know when James Burbach bites the dust DIES! for his lifestyle: embezzling hundred thousand +++ from the church, buying expensive luxury cars several months in a row, frequnting strip clubs and casinos in both Las Vegas NV and Cancun Mexico. So he needs to die for his lifestyle. My son worked and went home, no gambling, no bars, no barflies, no titty bars etc. Sorry Ean but you mother has to pay karma for what she did to my son. Since you stopped writing my guess is she found out you wrote to me and warned you not to anymore. Does not matter now anyway.
