The Latter-Day Saints are not perfect .........But they are awesome People who Know The Truth. None of them should waste their time viewing that Vile Porn Film Latter-Days! Jesus said If you Love Me Keep My Commandments. Study the Sacred Scriptures and don't waste your time with nasty Movies and Music.
Why is it that so many (not all :) )active LDS members who post on these message boards appear to be so closed minded, uneducated and ignorant? They only seem interested in saying some kind of prescriptive and severe comment rather than engage in any real and valuable dialog. There tends to be an arrogant tone that permeates many of the recent active LDS posts I've been monitoring, and a general disdain for those who express anti-LDS sentiment. No cogent arguments or support for their claims, just, "BIBLE this and JESUS that!" and then they throw in a "God Bless!" to make themselves feel better about forcing their beliefs down your throat. I used to be Mormon, and I used to be vehemently anti-LDS, but that’s natural I suppose when you leave any group that you feel has betrayed you. But I am no longer anti-Mormon, just anti-this-type-of-Mormon (Actually, it's more this-type-of-[i:6578384420]person[/i:6578384420]). Two of my closest friends are very active LDS, but they also believe what they believe at a much deeper level than the "JESUS!" droppers. They have actually doubted everything they believed to see if their faith could stand up to all of the rigorous and valid criticisms, and apparently they did. I can respect that of anyone who believes in anything, but I have little to no respect for these rationally immature, fanatical, faith-pushers.
Another interesting point, why post at all if you have such disdain for what the nay-sayers have to share about your religion? By simply blasting LDS critics breifly and dissapearing, your response reeks of insecure apologetics as you lash out at those who threaten your shaky, blind faith. Just because you are baptized/endowed LDS doesn't mean you've "built your house upon the rock". You just appear to be one of those Mormons who are more interested in the culture and being "right" as opposed to the ones who are actually interested in finding out why they believe what they belive and spend considerable resources and time (years) making sure that they [i:6578384420]really[/i:6578384420] beleive what they believe. Oh yes folks, they exist. It may be hard to believe, but they do.
Also, question lady, I am always impressed with the delicacy and understanding you display in your posts. It's obvious you care and you help give these boards legitimacy.
