I got involved with a few groups, sects, and cults. Some of them became cults after I got there. I was looking for big changes in my life and in the world. None of which happened.

I think when a person gets involved in a cult the family should react, but be careful not to overreact. Most people who join
Messianic Jewish movements, ultraorthodox outreach groups, and other various cults are only there for awhile. And if you do enlist aid to get family members out, make sure you work with someone who has a proven track record. That is a person who'll make things better and not worse.
I got more entrenched in the Hickman cult because of Lubavitch not less involved. Despite what they may think or may be telling everyone else.
