Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of the LGAT, Pathways
Institute, formerly known as Temenos and possibly, Pathways Sacred Arts
Institute? Many of my family members and friends are presently being
pressured to enroll or have enrolled or have attended the Basic Workshop
and are busy recruiting. The sudden arrival and proliferation of group
participants is alarming. Thanks.

Yes Linda, we do answer - but we don't sit all day looking at this newsgroup
waiting for messages to come in <G> I personally have been here 3 times today
before now ...
To answer you question:
Their webpage is at: [
www.pathwaysinstitute.com]
and you should compare what they say with what is at the page on LGAT's

Pathways' official site is listed, and the guestbook contains a number of
entries mentioning the organization. However, overall very little specific
information is available. If you do find any, please share it with us.
I do recommend reading this article:
Think about it

Though it deals with Landmark, it contains useful information that will help you
think through similar issues in other LGATs.

Anton- Sorry about my impatience...thank you for replying. I have seen the Pathways
Institute website, pathwaysinstitute.com and I do have one of their brochures
describing their workshops. It is really a printed version of most of what you can
find on their site. They do have a connecting site: onetribe.com. In my limited
research I have found out that one of their co-founders may have possibly trained
at Actualizations, founded by Stewart Emery, possibly in the seventies, which I
presume no longer exists, under that name anyway. And Stewart Emery trained at est.
The other co-founder apparently was connected to Temenos (now defunct) and I was
told that Pathways used to be a particularly popular workshop in Temenos and this
name lived on as the new organization. But I am looking for someone who has had
firsthand experience, preferably not recently, who would have somewhat of an
objective view of Pathways and their motives and methods. I believe I have looked
at the pages you mentioned, but I will look at them again, especially the entries
mentioning the organization and I will read the article. LL

Jan- Thank you for replying...sorry I became snippy...I have seen Pathways
Institute website already and I do have a printed brochure, which basically
repeats what is on the site. I'll do what you suggest and also keep posting
messages, in an attempt to find someone with firsthand experience of the group.
I'm glad you all (well, most all) are there, in spite of the bickering. LL

Been there, done that, passed it on . . .
Seriously, I'm fairly familiar with the Pathways Institute,
since I've done almost all of their training courses and
enjoyed them. (I also did the Landmark Forum to see how other
LGATs work, and don't have a particularly high opinion of it.)
I'm not necessarily unbiased, of course, but I'll answer
questions honestly.
Btw, have you tried asking your family members and friends
who did the Basic Workshop (and apparently now doing "Stand
& Deliver," the enrollment-oriented program) your questions,
and/or expressing your concerns?
For example, when my best friend's girlfriend tried to enroll me
in the Basic Workshop, I told her I wasn't willing to get yelled
at or insulted, or deprived of food or sleep, and so forth; and
I only agreed to go after she promised me (truthfully) that the
Basic Workshop is nothing like that . . . and I let her know that
if it was, I was going to walk right out.
