Landmark Hired Guns?

Throughout the 90's and early 2000's Landmark Education has been litigating against media publications and websites to retract negative criticism. Such as the notices and litigation that Art Schreiber sent to Condé Nast for a Self Magazine article entitled "White Collar Cults -- They Want Your Mind...", the "Rants and Raves" website on Landmark Education, among others. See:

More recently Landmark used the law offices of Steefel, Levitt & Weiss to put together DMCA subpeonas to the video hosting sites like the Internet Archive, Google, etc. to reveal the identity of who posted videos of the channel France 3 expose "Voyage au pays des nouveaux gourous (Voyage to the Land of the New Gurus)". The EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) defended and won the case against those DMCA subpeonas. See:

Since before and after the company documentary, "Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" came out, there's been significant activity to clean up Werner and Landmark's image on the internet. The Wikipedia articles on Landmark Education and Werner Erhard have been significantly changed from critical to positive. Removing words like "cult leader", etc. Persistent pro-LE Wikpedians have removed and modified negative areas, arguing to the Wikipedia rules why the changes should go through. This continues to this day.

Recently pro-LE commenter on YouTube has been harassing anyone with critical videos or comments on LE. This person has had a myraid of aliases (zigzagidiot, therapastsconduct, Sulaleesucks, thredbearr, watchitpeople, failingmark, paintbrushsplatter, partzebra, rottenappo, oldmopnewmop, termitetits, HenryLloydMoon, nemesisshmemesis, ratproblem, rottenappo, hairyspots, bornoncemore, verynicebackstabber, sicklyembellishment, screwtapeletter, captaincarbunkle, frogfeller, zhippee) and continues to close and open new YouTube accounts to anonymously harass. In a recent discussion thread on a critical video, this person just about admitted not having done Landmark courses. See:

This leads me to wonder if Landmark or an affiliated invidual, group or organization is hiring experts in different areas of the internet to create a positive image of LE and harass critics?

I have a friend who is very active over at wiki and on various entries on landmark, est, werner erhard, etc...Unfortunately the Landmark Education page got locked and is under dispute just as it was reading like a commercial. Not sure if this was done by a pro-landmark moderator or not, but according to my friend it's been quite a battle over there.

His or her or it's behavior just does not add up. Instead of acting like a landmark grad, it reacts in classic internet troll fashion. Insult, insult and then insult some more. Once when I tried to use some jargon on him, he responded with "what are you talking about? this makes no sense. speak english woman!" Makes you wonder.......

the link below has a comments section at the end of the article with some fairly heated discussion about Erhard and EST, there is one particularly offended defender of Werner.. take a look at comments # 8 or # 11, just for a couple of examples. When I read the remarks in this comments section, it kind of reminded me of a YouTube comments section where Erhard is being defended by another offended convert...

A fairly different tone used in this review...

I have often wondered how many EST/Landmark devotees prove they 'got it' simply by devoting X amount of time and energy defending Werner online, or wherever they happen to be VS. hustling for new LE recruits from wherever they might be.

Well, these vacuous losers have to do SOMEthing to keep 'em busy. Many obviously can't hold onto their jobs anymore, so they have lots o' time on their hands. hahahahaha

If our earlier thoughts on the possibility of Landmark imploding/shrinking are correct, then this could well be a sign of desperation to stop the loss. Or again they now have more time on their hands.
