I've posted three posts in response, but it looks like they're only going to post one of them. I've been really fed up with Huffington Post for many reasons, but the worst is their bizarre random censorship. You just never know if they'll let you speak, regardless of whether you're civil or not.

If you attack Arianna Huffington it's likely you'll be shut out.

But I recommend people read and respond to this Landmark piece. There's a lot wrong with it.

I just connected two more dots I hadn't connected these past several years. It always seems so *nice* that part of an lgat program is to send out "participants" to reconcile with estranged family/friends. While reading this piece I now understand WHY: to recruit more people. Of course. I mean, when you've reconnected with and regrained trust of people from whom you'd grown distant, your pool from which to recruit is that much larger. Not to mention that the people who'd been distant might now be impressed with your new "loving maturity" that accounted for the reconnection. Ya think they might wanna sign up?????

I continue to maintain that there is NOTHING decent or honest about an lagt.

hello, friends, romans, countrymen, lend me your ears...just some random info...

Ole Arianna Huffington, is a longtime, possibly lifetime follower of John-Roger, J-R, the aging Guru Godman Christ of MSIA (Messiah), Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness.

MSIA does some serious Love-Bomb LGATS!! Search this very forum for info on MSIA.

John-Roger is connected with Paul Twitchell and Eckankar, yadda yadda, on it goes.
MSIA has all sorts of front-groups.

I won't comment on The Huff Post in general, but one can't imagine Arianna is going to be too much against religious LGATS...??

I suppose one could try to post an article about MSIA Love-Bomb LGAT's there...or a comment...
:-)

Yeah, but you can't explain that to anyone who is inside, because why should they see it like that? They'd probably even defend it, saying well I don't care if that's the "real" motive, it only matters that I talked to my family.

But it's the manic kind of emotional high in which they contact people that seems so hollow. A lot of people who get contacted by someone fresh from a Forum feel like . . . WTF? It just seems . . . untrustable? Or like, you had to pay $500 to figure out you had to call me to apologize?

My ex finds this outlook cynical. Oh well. I guess a lot of us are cynical.

But it's sort of like someone calling you when they're drunk or high. Who knows, maybe it's their "real" self coming through, or maybe it's the mind altering substance.

this is fascinating

"The Channel Three program--which circulated on YouTube, until the Landmark subpoenaed the site and got it suppressed--seemed to carefully select its scenes of abuse and brainwashing, out of context. "

the women is now brainwashed. brainwashing is not a problem with her as long as u dont
take it out of context.

and she made the mistake that so many reporters make. landmark knows they are in the audience
and changes its forum to suit their need for a better review.

they " seem to carefully select its scenes of abuse and brainwashing, out of context. "

Let go your heart. Let go your head. And feel it now.

As if abuse and brainwashing in context is just great!

there are quite a lot of people who "believe" that those types of abusive LGAT's are the best way for people to "change".

But there is no real evidence for that. The evidence I've seen says the opposite, that at BEST you are going to get people hyped-up for a week or a month...then they crash, and want another fix.
Most of the people get worse, due to distorted expectations.
and there are also people who literally have breakdowns, as we see all the time.

LGAT's are NOT the best way to "change", they appear to be the worst! And LGAT is like a crash-diet of the mind. Do crash diets work?
Human change only happens over an extended period of time.

the idea of being Transformed in a weekend is a lie.
Its just a salespitch, a Big Claim, so they can charge you a fortune, for nothing.

but I believe there is evidence that properly conducted Group Therapy with a licensed pro, can help some people? But that is not an LGAT, its the opposite.

Its a good myth though...get Magically Transformed into a "new person"...Quick...for a price.
No wonder Werner Erhard dreamed this up, too bad he could not "change" his personality, by changing names all the time.

Again, what you guys don't get is that Australia has scant therapists, counselors, and psychologists.

The "governing board for psychology" if you can even call it that, because it's a pretty buck-ass system that looks like it was cobbled together for PR...doesn't do much.

I could show up in OZ, put up a shingle, conduct therapy, and no one would bother me.

SO...in absence of counselors/psychologists, Landmark Education is shooting fish in a barrell. No competition. This usually happens in a capitalist-socialist mixed culture.

Personally, I think the Australian government is the stupidest compared to the US government...and it actually HURTS me to say that.
