Its most likely that Landmark is opening the movie
"Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" in New York City to try and get some response from some film critics. If they are able to get a few even neutral responses from critics, then the movie becomes another tool in their arsenal of propagandizing the public. They will use it to try and trick even more people into Landmark.

So its critical that anyone who knows the damage Landmark can do to people, to immediately contact as many film critics as they can to get the true story about this fake documentary out.
If it turns out that the producers of this film are trying to deceive the critics about who is behind it, many critics will get extremely angry and will write about that.

What if it turns out this movie was simply commissioned by Werner Erhard himself, through Landmark Education...
and then financed somehow by Landmark, using Werner Erhard's apparent former attorney Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films to "channel" the money...(channel in the alleged "spiritual" sense, of course)...
and then using Robyn Symon as a front-man posing as the independent filmmaker...??
...the critics would find that type of information very interesting.

Who financed the movie?
Did Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films finance the movie? Where did the money come from?
Why is Walter Maksym's name not disclosed on sites like IMDB as Executive Producer?
Why does Landmark Education own the movie copyright?

Its essential to get these questions out to movie critics [b:2b0b48029d]today[/b:2b0b48029d], as if any of them see the movie currently in NYC, they can question the filmmakers about it. If it turns out the filmmakers try to deceive the critics about who is behind the movie, that could destroy the entire intent of the movie, as they will trash it in their review. It could waste all the Landmark money put up to make it.

One can also make cross-posts at movie sites, just to give people a heads-up that everything is certainly not legit with this alleged documentary about Werner Erhard.

Many people are starting to say that...

...Werner Erhard commissioned a fake-documentary about himself, and got his former hacks at Landmark to finance it through Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films, who got Robyn Symon to pose as the front-man to pretend it is an independent film.
Is that what happened?
Is this movie another hoax and fake documentary?

One wonders why everything involved with Werner Erhard appears to be based on deception...

Hard to know exactly what the film is like without having seen it, but my greater question is "why?".

I'm not surprised that they're doing a biased promo/puff piece on Erhard ... but why are they trying to pro-actively define his legacy with this?

Is there something that we don't know but they do? What if he had cancer and only a limited time to live? Would this be the reason for bringing him out of his (apparently famed) seclusion? After all, it's much easier to do this sort of thing when a person is still alive.

(Just try to do this same sort of thing with L Ron Hubbard .... too late given that he is dead.)

correction:

it appears that the question of who was the Executive Producer of "Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" is not about Landmark Dis-education lawyer Art Schrieber, but rather another fellow named Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films.

Est Founder sues critics; suit names Mercury News writer

Mercury News Staff Report

Werner Erhard, controversial founder of the self-improvement
program known as est, has filed a wide-ranging defamation lawsuit
against 20 defendants, including a Mercury News staff writer,
news media, commercial publications and private groups that
have criticized Erhard or his teachings.

Mercury News attorney Edward P. Davis Jr. said the
allegations against staff writer John Hubner are false. "It's
frivolous," the attorney added, "Why they're dragging John into
it is hard to say."

The Mercury News is not named as a defendant.

The suit, filed last month in Chicago's Cook County Circuit
Court, includes charges of slander, invasion of privacy,
conspiracy and other allegations. The defendants include CBS,
Hustler magazine, the National Enquirer and the Chicago-based
Cult Awareness Network, which distributes information on groups
that it classifies as cults.

Hubner wrote a series of critical articles about Erhard
that appeared in West magazine in November 1990. But the lawsuit
focuses on a March 3, 1991, broadcast of the CBS news program "60
Minutes," which used part of a taped interview that Hubner
conducted with Erhard while researching his articles.

During the "60 Minutes" report, one of Erhard's daughters
told CBS that her father had molested her. While Erhard did not
appear on the program, CBS aired portions of Hubner's taped
interview, in which Erhard denied the incest allegations.

Erhard's attorney,[b:d221ac3dd6] Walter Maksym [/b:d221ac3dd6]of Illinois, could not be
reached for comment.

I'll give y'all one guess as to who is the Administrative Contact listed for the domain name of [www.eagleislandfilms.com]

It's Walter Maksym.

And the domain name was registered by " Eagle Island Films, Inc. " - back in March 19, 2004.

That must have been when production began on "Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" the "documentary", cough cough.

Guess who was the attorney who represented Landmark Education in their lawsuit against the Cult Awareness Network (along with Martin "Marty" Leaf) ?

Why, it's none other than the executive producer of the "documentary" Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard - Walter Maksym , who else?

Argh, I want to get a DVD and see what's on this "documentary", produced by Werner Erhard and Landmark Education attorney Walter Maksym - but I don't want my money going to the Cayman Islands, if you know what I mean.

What to do, what to do ?
