Glen, you mentioned you went to UPW.
I would love to hear your review of the program.
It doesn't have to be a negative review, it could be a positive one.
For instance, Robbins is the best public speaker i have ever seen. Also, his seminars are brilliantly constructed, again, the best i have seen.

So i would be interested in getting your POV on UPW, no matter what your conclusions are about it.

Here is a story about subliminal influence.

We have someone in our neighborhood who owns a black French bulldog.

One day, I ran into (lets call her Sheila) and her dog.

I started laughing my ass off. Then I realize I didnt know why I was laughing.

'Sheila' I said, 'I dont get it. Something is hilarious, and I dont know what it is.'

Sheila grinned. She pointed to her dogs face. Fido's face looks like that of a bat.

Then Sheila pointed to the T-shirt she was wearing.

It was a white T-shirt with a pattern of small, black objects on it.

I took a closer look--it was a design of a multitude of bats in flight.

The joke was for real and was played at the level of my subconscious mind.

It was a visual pun. Half of the pun (Fido's bat-face) was conscious.

THe other half of the pun (the subtle T-shirt graphic of bats in flight) was unconscious.

I was laughing at a buried joke, a witty, subliminal visual pun.

It was a small but convincing demonstration of the power of subliminal programming.

On a computer discussion, someone said she was in a hotel room at one of the Las Vegas casinos.

She was restless and didnt know why. Something inspired her to take a closer look a the designs on the hotel room wall paper.

Only when she gave the wall paper close inspection did she see it concealed many, many images of people having sex.

The room was designed to activate people's horniness without them realizing why.

Then, with all that restless energy, they were likely to act out according to their habitual patterns, all of which would bring revenue to the hotel:

1) Gambling

2) Call girls/hookers

3) Booze

---------
LEVEL FOUR is the ultimate experience of love. It is a rare level to experience, but those who do are truly blessed. There are some who experience it consistently—the Dalai Lama or Mother Teresa for example—but all of us can experience it. People who live at level four give love to everyone, regardless of their relationship to them. This is what we feel when we decide to forgive, to love even those who have done us wrong. It is the ultimate act of love to share it freely and to include even those who do not love us. Those who live at this level free themselves from being bound by anger and hate—the emotions that bar most people from experiencing this pure and exalted state of love. At this state, the outside world does not determine your level of happiness and fulfillment—what others have done to you, for you, and because of you has no affect on your own expressions of love toward others. Loving with true abandon can lead to the ultimate fulfillment.

Becoming emotionally aware of these levels of love may help you revolutionize the experience you have in relationships. People tell us continually about how their relationships are being nurtured like never before because they are now taking the time to think about and evaluate their own levels of love. For many clients, it leads to a quality life that is exponentially rewarding! It may for you as well.

Love is one of the most exciting, wondrous and magical emotions to experience in a lifetime. But it’s also challenging and terrifying sometimes. While the physical attraction and “chemistry” usually associated with being “in love” is powerful, meaningful, and usually very exciting—there is more to creating a loving relationship than just the physicality of love. This is something Tony focuses on at the Date with Destiny seminars, where participants explore what it is they most want in a relationship and what kind of person they need to become in order to cultivate or invite that kind of relationship into their lives. It is possible to experience the kind of love that results in unleashed levels of passion and a true and complete level of connection with another person. But first you must focus first on yourself. This not about meeting your own needs, but what you can do to enrich the lives of those around you.

This is a recent article about Robbins, that is not too critical, so Robbins people are promoting it.
It does show what his next direction is, and some of his professed beliefs.

Here is an article "THE TROUBLE WITH HYPNOSIS" from Psychology Today about hypnosis, and Eriksonian Hypnosis. It raises all the important issues.

Robbins openly claims he does NOT do "hypnosis". He says, if anything, he "de-hypnotizes" people.
This is a blatant lie, using semantic word games. He can say that, due to the trouble with what "hypnosis" actually is or isn't.
The reality is, Robbins uses every known technique of "hypnosis" on people, and as we know, some people are very suggestible.
The fact that Robbins openly states he does not do hypnosis on people, shows how intellectually and morally corrupt he is.
When he tells you he does not do hypnosis, he is lying right to your face. He can be a bald-face pathalogical liar, when it suits his purposes.
I am talking about 100% totally self-conscious lies right to the very face of people who believe in him, and support him. That is hard-core stuff.
To be able to look right into the face of people who believe in you, and to deceive them, with 100% total self-awareness.

If you read these very long threads, further on in the threads you will see evidence from people of Robbins blatant lies to his own fans at one of his seminars, regarding his marriage, and other issues.

Actually, upon reflection, that statement is designed to put people into a Trance state! Its a confusing idea, to imply that we are all hypnotized by society, and need to be "awakened" by Tony Robbins.

Robbins actually has a long list of "Confusion Inducing Questions". You induce confusion into your victims, as then you can "lead them out of the confusion" and heal them with your Products and Services.

God, the more i think about it, the more i realize was a nasty SOB Robbins and his cronies are. They literally "get off" on their ability to mess with "average persons" minds.
I feel very angry right now and these manipulators.
One day i really hope someone exposes Robbins in a way that the masses can understand.

Hi Glen-

Glad you decided not to go to the tues. night forum introduction.

Should you go in the future, just remember- DON'T SIGN ANYTHING. Don't give them your address or your phone number.

Even though you're tired at the end of over 4 hours of being talked at, DON'T sign up for the Introductory Forum. Say you need to think about it and might register via the website at home.

If you DO sign up, they'll hound you incessantly on the phone (they did this to my friend), asking for the rest of the $ and to confirm what dates you're taking the Forum. They'll use the trap of "keeping your word and your integrity" since you did, after all, sign a CONTRACT (registration form) and aren't you are a person of integrity?

Be careful...be very very careful...Maybe even bring a cynical friend with you for ballast.

-valerie
