The Forum[/size:8cd252a1ab]*

Here I am on a first name basis
In my chair in a kind of stasis
Hours drag with shrewd intention
Waiting for the first invention

They offer me a new technology
A new and guaranteed psychology
Designed to help me clear my wicked urge
But I only paid to see the tip of the Rosenberg

So, here I am upon the stage
Two hundred pairs of eyes engaged
I better come up with something fast
A story from my troubled past

I fumble with a sad, old memory
And I’m told it’s not really part of me
That when I curse these sorry bruises
I should forgive all my abusers

[i:8cd252a1ab]And they chant:[/i:8cd252a1ab]
We have to break you down
Like untamed horses
Then build you up
To sell more courses
We have to change you
and your used up decorum
And Sit you down like children
Welcome to Landmark Forum

Forget the pain! It doesn’t exist!
So much to gain if I don’t resist!
What can I lose? What’s on my mind?
‘Don’t worry, just drink our magic wine!’

I’m part of the group now
But I don’t get it somehow
If I’ve mastered my fear
Why am I still just a volunteer?

But I think I’m getting it together
Through all sorts of nasty weather
But just when I thought I knew my stuff
I’m told I haven’t really done enough

So, here I am with much to ponder
In my group of would-be Wonders
But before I get to reach my goals
I have to finish the toilet bowls

[i:8cd252a1ab]And they chant:[/i:8cd252a1ab]
Breakdown, breakthrough
Give the dog a bone
Blind spot, Hogwash
And pick up the phone …

Good work Jack!
What type of music and instruments for the song? Any bongo drums or violins?

Rap or maybe a bit of a Bob Dylan sound?

How 'bout getting the little man screech, "you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground', mixed in somewhere near the beginning or ending...

Or maybe something resembling 'Chariots of Fire' to enhance a 'foot-in-the-door' mood effect?

I love it...I would like an autographed copy when you release it! :D

That is excellent Jack! I see you have a creative mind. This should be sent to Landmark's head office; let them choke on it!

I'm still hoping the latest investigation by the Dept. of Labor shuts these lowlifes down. If it happend in France it can happen here.

My strength is guitar and voice. I like the suggestion of a 'Chariots of Fire'-like lead in: crowds of starry eyed people moving in slo-mo; same eyes staring straight ahead; and, yes, the screech of 'you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground' ... perhaps it could morph into a kind of 'Thriller' mix; get some DOOF DOOF in there for the younger, dance crowd ... :D

you should get this put onto a cd and 'marketed' word of mouth(seems like an effective way of promoting a product :D ), what'll they do, sue you and make your song famous and go through the roof in sales  It'll be like the attempt to remove the french video from public viewing...

Well, I don't think I'm being slanderous. The words are my experience: perceptions and research. Landmark is a public company, open to scrutiny, open to different points of view. Right?

Yeah, I should get something up on YouTube.

Yeah, I should get something up on YouTube.

The reason it is not slanderous is because it falls into the category of comedy/sattire/parody.
