Former Eagle Mountain Mayor Brian Olsen was sometimes reimbursed for trips before they happened, a practice which at least in part prompted a county attorney's investigation.

On Monday, Olsen was charged with seven counts of misusing public funds, third-degree felonies. County prosecutors have said the charges are connected to travel reimbursements for meetings and conferences he didn't attend or that didn't happen.
