There's a Facebook ad going around for a technique called, "MindShifting", by Stevie Kent. He got his technique from a couple of psychologists, one of whom was a communication expert and the other a spiritualist. I can't find his information for free, but I've noticed a few things. He claims his technique can help people with blockages (vague language) in 10-15 minutes and one session; he makes some outdated and false claims about hypnosis and NLP (like the claim that hypnosis requires the theta state), and he has a video of himself promoting a course to help with learning German elsewhere. In the video, he uses a tranced look and voice. He uses vague language and direct suggestions, as well as embedded commands. He uses technical jargon to baffle people, and talks for a long time without a pause. All hypnotic techniques. I don't know much about him or his training, but I think he is using hypnosis and NLP to sell his courses. There's a reddit post on him that goes into detail about one person's experience with his online presence and communication. This guy could be a Byron Katie just starting out.
