"Crucial Conversations" Author a Landmark Follower?

Anyone familiar with with "leadership" training? The author is Kerry Patterson. Some of his stuff sounds vaguely familiar. It's being used at my workplace.

I'm not familiar with them. They do look to use a lot of buzz words and loaded language.

The trainings are expensive. 1,395.00 for a two day workshop.
