Landmark forum leaders are the perfect example that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

They are victims of living and working inside of an impoverished model. Werner Erhard's style of thinking, at least what we were able to see of his thinking as "recreated" by his staff, seems to me to be strikingly uneducated. Erhard had a high school education, and even of that we know nothing. He also seemed to have an extremely energetic mind, however one that had all the outward signs of obsessive-compulsive disorder. According to trainers I had been the captive audience of, as they rambled on ad infinitum, Erhard would develop strange fascinations, he would become engrossed with the subject of men's hats (for example), everything around him had to be ritualistically perfect, his loafers had to be polished and placed just so, he would suddenly "declare" that it was his time to race cars (an episode in his life the trainer body would just as soon forget)... to a competent psychologist these would probably be accumulated diagnostic signs of a serious case of OCD, all of which the trainer body reframed to be signs of Werner's "impeccability". Even adhering to the idea that one should precisely "recreate" anyone else is unhinged. IMHO, what the LEC organization has been unwittingly enrolled in is the systematic imposition of OCD on roomfulls of people.
