Margaret Sanger in her book [u:71f806717a]Crazy Therapies[/u:71f806717a] says that there should be an FDA-type organization to regulate all these weirdos.

She also says that universities usually unofficially monitor therapists and counselors, etc, but once they are out on their own, there is no agency to check and regulate these people.

there is no regulation.
i find it interesting because so many
people grow up in abusive souroundings
and when u study landmark u find
that much of it is psycological abuse.

well with all the abuse in the united
states there doesnt seem that
any of the politicians, or different
groups willing to take it on.

so it just grows and gets stronger.

Right. And the more these groups grow unchecked, legitimate psychologists and doctors are subject to more standardization and micromanagement.

this is an interesting parallel.

i read the other day that peoples
medical records may very well
become public knowledge. there
is a law proposed that will stop
medical records from being viewed
by anyone.

the argument against privacy is that
it will create too much paperwork.

now in the united states medical
records will possibly be opened to
anyone that wants to see them.

its like we are being led to give up
our rights by the government while
at the same time the cults abuse
peoples rights.

no one stands up. no one says this
is wrong.

it wouldnt surprise me in the future
to learn that the government has
information that states the cults
are damaging people but that
it would be too expensive or time
consuming to do anything about it.

It's so hard to prove psychological damage that most lawyers won't even consider an initial consultation. For 'victims', it's so hard to explain what happened that it's too late when they finally figure it out. And even then, trying to explain it, the victim looks like a consenting adult who made bad choices and then when the bottom fell out, wanted revenge. THe best way to avoid problems is preventive measures - educating consumers.
