Those following the threads on HAI will remember that a certain HAI Intern in the USA has achieved a certain amount of notoriety due to (alleged) unprofessional (mis?)conduct. Well seems like its now "bye bye Chip" ...

Subject: Big Changes for Chip

Dear Friends,

I want to let you know that I am dramatically changing almost everything in
my life. As you might have heard, after much soul- searching, Leslie and I
have separated. We still love each other, and for now, we are lovers and
friends who live apart. Which brings me to the next change, I now live and
see clients in an apartment about two blocks away from the house Leslie and
I shared.

My new address is

1919 Manhattan Ave., #6, E. Palo Alto, CA 94303.

My home phone is

1(650) 326-2447, although I mostly use my cell 1(650) 391-7763.

I am also at a crossroads in my professional life and have made a difficult
but necessary decision. I participated in my first HAI workshop in 1988.
Now 20 years later, I am retiring from facilitating HAI workshops. I am
incredibly grateful to Stan, Helen & Janet and grateful for all the gifts
that I have received as a result of being allowed the privilege of leading
the workshops. And now its time for me to move on, to pursue other dreams
and endeavors. I know this may be upsetting to some of you, given the love,
faith and trust we have shared over the years. I still love and support
you, and love and support the work of HAI. I know you do, too.

I feel a little like I've jumped off a huge cliff, and now I'm in the
exhilarating process of learning how to fly.

At this time in my life I want a different type of work experience. I want
a job, not a calling. Something I can do well and be proud of, but
something I can leave at the office. I am still drawn to work in which I
provide meaningful service to others. And, I also want some separation
between who I am and what I do. I want to date, without my
job getting in the way. I want weekends and vacations and all the
"benefits" that come with a "regular" job.

So, I'm off on a new adventure. A very wise man that I loved with all my
heart (and who I miss every day) liked to say: "all endings automatically
mean new beginnings."

Thank you for all your love and support.

Warmly

Chip

Subject: [Team/Annc] Appreciating Chip

Dear HAI Family,

As the Chief Operating Officer of the Human Awareness Institute I have
accepted the resignation of Chip August, as you probably know. Chip has
been my friend and working partner for the past 18 years, as well as a
friend to the HAI community. He has given so much of his love, perspective,
insights, skill, energy, and dynamism. His special style of wisdom, humor,
and clarity of communication have been great gifts to us all. I want to
publicly express my appreciation and gratitude to him. I thank you Chip.

I know that with his big heart and amazing skills he will continue to be a
source of love and inspiration in everything he chooses to do. In our
conversations, Chip has informed me he plans to continue having his personal
counseling and workshops. Anyone interested can contact him to find out
what he has scheduled at ChasAugust@gmail.com .

Chip will be missed. On behalf of the facilitators and myself, I wish him
joy, prosperity, and, truly, the best of everything. And I send him our
heartfelt love.

Love,
Janet Dale
