Accreditation, Probation & Importance of APA Accreditation

(APA stands for American Psychological Association)

Never give away your time or take on student loans for any reason until you go to objective sources and learn the actual accreditation status of a program.

Your future access to good supervision programs, your ability to be licensed in other states will all depend on the actual accreditation status of the program in which you train.

APA accreditation, preferably for 7 or 5 years, is the gold standard. Each December, the journal American Psychologist will list APA accreditation status of clinical training programs.

A librarian can help you with this. If you have a mentor you are fond of, and that person tries to tell you the APA stuff does not matter---folks, it DOES matter.

Father's army service:

Joseph Rosenberg finished his army service in Autumn 1945. (Bartley p. 17)

Uncle(s):

Werner Erhard had an uncle named Al Rosenberg. (Bartley p. 17)

Al and Edith Rosenberg are mentioned together in the Acknowledgements section of the book. (Bartley p. 277)

Other Rosenbergs mentioned: Al Rosenberg, Frank Rosenberg, Max Rosenberg. (Bartley p. 17)
