according to another post:

[board.culteducation.com]
<<This is the big question for me. I know the license of the "technology" expires in 2009, unless somehow in the mean time Landmark bought the rights fully and no more license. Is there any infomation on that?
I know devotess like my friend who just wouldn't be able to contain themselves if Werner showed up in the open, giving more seminars, etc. He'll also be 74 years old in 2009 so you'd imagine he may be itching to make a splash sooner than later.>>

Does this seem likely at all?

What logistically will happen when the licensing expires?

Does anyone have data on precisely how much money Werner Erhard / John Paul Rosenberg gets per year from Landmark Education and all of his other associated spinoffs?

I think since Landmark is privately held, their gross and net income is a secret. Given what is posted elsewhere on this site under Legal, Werner was due 50% of the net for up to 18 years or until 15 million. Odds are he's been paid in full by now.

I doubt he'll come back, but I would LOVE it if he did, just for fun of it all.

No one really knows what is going on with Landmark regarding Erhard and the company.

He supposedly doesn't run it any more.

But since the "sale" his brother Harry Rosenberg has run the company along with his old crony Art Schreiber as General Counsel.

Has Anyone seen it ?

Maybe this DOES portend a return!

Looks like it was shown in April, is going to be shown again in June in Atlanta, and then maybe to a theater near you. Werner seems to be involved and cooperated - he's 70 now, and there's a picture.

i heard years ago on the landmark forum newsgroup that the deal with werner was that he would return
in 2009 and lead landmark.

supposedly he was paid 50 million and not a penny
more :) and then landmark would revert back to
him in 2009,.

This is what I had heard as well.

Do you have a current source/citation for this information?

But since his brother, sister and lawyer have been running Landmark ever since he "sold out," it seems possible that he may have never stopped running it.

The documentary may have been partially or wholly financed by Werner Erhard.

i believe he has always been involved in
landmark. with his family members running
it while he was away, i believe he has been
consulted on every move they have made.

he's a liar and a thief. i wouldnt believe any
thing he ever said.

It seems like at 70 Erhard is attempting to buy himself a "legacy."

However, despite the documentary he will be judged by the many complaints, lawsuits, bad press and generally horrible history he established through his large group awareness training over the years, which has been repeatedly discredited.

He made millions and became a rich man selling his seminars. Not bad for a former used car salesman. But it seems he wants to "have his cake and eat it too."

That is, not only take the money and run to the Caymans, but also somehow be respected for that.

IMO--Erhard ("Jack" Rosenberg) should be happy he managed to make all those millions and focus instead on his tan and investment portfolio.

This would be far more productive and meaningful.

After all he did "get it"-- the cash.

And wasn't that the real "breakthrough" he wanted most?

Isn't it time to have the "integrity" to admit that?

And what about taking "responsibility" for the decisions he made?

After all, Erhard has preached that there are no "victims."

Didn't Werner Erhard create his life and determine his "possibilities"?

Ultimately he shaped his life and legacy as an reportedly "cult like" LGAT guru that allegedly "brainwashed" people.

And that is his historical "legacy" such as it is.

Hey y'all! Thought I'd check out your "alternate universe". (I usually post on a.f.l.)

I don't agree that all Werner wanted was the money. I think the godwannabe wanted adulation, devotion, worship, and - - immortality. Did a pretty good job of it, what with all those clones he created to carry on even after he was gone.
