Free Introduction to Landmark Education Programs Hosted by The Sets in Tempe

June 15 , 2005 by Kathleen Gorden

Hamid Hekmatian is a local business man who is very succesful. Not only is he the owner of the SETS in Tempe, he has a very satisfying life overall.

When you ask Hamid (or as he is known "Harry") he will tell you that the most important thing in life is not money but happiness because that is what brings the rest of your life around. It's hard to find that in our everyday lives and Harry has decided to hold a free Introduction to the cause of his happiness at the SETS Wednesday June 15th at 7pm. He would like to introduce people to Landmark Education.

A fundamental principle of Landmark Education’s work is that people – and the communities, organizations, and institutions with which they are engaged – have the possibility not only of success, but also of fulfillment and greatness. The ideas, insights, and distinctions on which Landmark’s programs are based make Landmark a leader and innovator in the field of training and development.

Graduates of Landmark’s programs report major positive results in the following areas:

• The quality of their
relationships.
• The confidence with
which they conduct
their lives.
• The level of their
personal productivity.
• The experience of the
difference they make.
• The degree to which
they enjoy their lives.

If you are interested in attending this FREE introduction to the Landmark philosophy, the information is:

WHAT: LANDMARK FREE INTRODUCTION by Hamid Hekmatian

WHERE: THE SETS IN TEMPE

During the Introduction, you will get a sense of what it would be like to participate in The Landmark Forum, the profound difference The Landmark Forum could make in your everyday life, and how the course is conducted.

The most valuable way to participate in the Introduction is to listen with your own life in mind. You will be introduced to:

• The value The Landmark Forum produces in people's lives.
• The types of people who participate.
• A sense of how The Landmark Forum actually works.
• What you, personally, could get out of The Landmark Forum.

This is not the first time I have heard of advertisments like this. As far as I know they are not "authorised" by Landmark. Graduates often do things like this to promote their introductions. Usually it is people who are in the middle of ILP (Introduction Leader Programme) who are trying to fulfill their guest numbers.

when doing ILP the particpants have a list of things they must do, it reads something like:

Introduce 20 people to the landmark forum
Register 15 people to the landmark forum
Enrol two people out of 20 call phones. (these are the irratating calls you get after you go to an introduction)

there are other things they have to fulfill but I can't remember what they are.

Being affiliated with McGill, I was outraged to find out this one by Mr. Parente. I knew Landmark was trying to recruit on campus, but not this way!

But, this is the reply to Mr. Parente from other students from McGill. I am glad to see that he didn't go nowhere ... for now.

The Landmark Forum: learning through gibberish and obfuscation.
What a bloody load of codswallop. Something creepy and about this
company too, it's got a 1984 feel to it, or perhaps Scientology.

You're right, this easily falls under the guise of spam,
and Jason Carlos Parente should take note of that.

We all recognize Landmark's jargon here of course. I'll look deeper if I can find more about this. I will see that the McGill authorities are fully aware of the risks involved here.

Ugh...how sad & disturbing to "hear" that jargon again, from a fresh recruit.
