Has anyone heard anything about this shady MLM called Nerium International? A friend of mine, who is elderly, got recruited as a distributor by a soap opera actor that she had a crush on. She never made a dime and never got the access to the actor she was promised.

She finally quit, but she told me some alarming stories about how these D-List actors set up "fan events" that are really sales pitches for this MLM, and there is alcohol. She also told me of other cult like practices, such as labeling those who like her who left or actors who won't get involved as "negative people" - which reminded me of Scientology.

Anyone heard of this? I felt like the network/show should not have allowed this to happen to an elderly viewer.
