Account is still inactive

I registered about a week ago and validated my account on 26 august. I also tried to reset my password but that didn't help. When I try to login I am still getting the following error message:

"That username/password was not found or is inactive. Please try again."

Does it usually take this long to get validated?

That's why I posted here.

Are you saying that this is a dead end and that I can't post to the forums because there is no way to create new accounts?
