I was wondering if anyone knew anything about patriarchy groups. Basically, they believe in total domination of women, some believe in polygamy, they want to bring back the law from the time of Moses and Abraham, they seem to believe in an angry, tyrant God, they take everything in the Bible literally, and not to mention, are completely against divorce.

I was burnt by them when I was posting on the Full Quiver Mission forums and mentioned that I was divorced and remarried. They showed total comtempt towards me, so empathy at all when I explained how mentally and emotionally abusive my ex-husband was, and actually told me that I MUST DIVORCE MY NEW HUSBAND, even though we are happily married, have a child together and my daughter from my last marriage considers him her father!

I think they are a very dangerous cult! In alot of ways they are similar to the Jehovas Witnesses and the Boston Church of Christ, as they think their way is the only way, and they back up everything they say with scripture.

Does anyone know anything about them? Should they be added to this website as a cult?

First of all I'd like to say that I'm from one, a polygamust patriachy.

I know how many lives have been and are being destroyed by these patriarchy's.

It's logical to say that when one race or sex rules over the other very bad thing's happen.
Look at south Africa, early American slavery and slavery in genral. One can see similar effects.
It's called unritious dominion. And is very wrong.
Patriarchys and slavers gain there power through subjigation and the tourment of of there infirior's.
This becomes so ritualy ingrained in bolth the perpitrator and the victum that they often cant stop, or even see what's going on. Ether side has a hard time overcoming it compleatly.
I know people who still think woman are lessers and men naturaly rule.
These are smart people who have been out of the cult I'm from for as much as 20 years.

Hell! I'm suprised, but thakfull for, that people came up with the US. and the bill of rights. seeing how humanity thought befor this time.
Freedom and equal rights granted us the power to excell and achive things like space exploration.

So we need to keep encourageing our not so advanced human nabors to excell.
