I don't think the churches per se can be destructive. You can't blame a structure for your pollution can you?

But what is your point?
Can't I blame the hierarchical [i:270d11e78b]structured[/i:270d11e78b] roman catholic church (capitals willfully denied) for mentally raping children so that these children are mentally mutilated for life?

Structure or no structure this church is the world's oldest multinational criminal organization, also guilty of genocide, mass murders, theft, sexual abuse and financial fraud.

If the teachings of a church are inherently harmful (such as refusal of medical care in Christian Science), then certainly you can blame the structure.

While the basic concept 'church' -- a bunch of people who share a common religious faith and are organized enough to get together regularly and have designated spiritual leaders -- is in and of it self pretty harmless (imo), within that definition there is a world of scope for harmful stuff to happen.
