Gods Warrior,

Thank you for taking the time to post here on the forum. Also, thank you for taking time to PM me. I appreciate what you had to say.
I would like to pose a few questions to you if you don't mind.

Have you read all the posts on this thread? Yes

Have you read all the posts on the RLc threads? no....but some of them.

Which questions of the leadership are important to you to have answered?Accountability and the Building Fund

What brought you to this forum? Rumors

Do you believe in "spiritual parenting"? as taught by Mike and Cyndi? NO. But I think it has changed since the inception. I think that kids without any parents need to be loved. I don't believe in anyones parents being replaced.

Do you practice "honoring" Mike and Cyndi? I honor all of the staff. But not in an unhealthy way.

Are you or have you attended SOMA? NO I am not bu a family member did for a while.
Which, if any, teachings do you disagree with or have concerns for? I don't like the tithe messages at the end of every service.

Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts.

I don't care if this is on the forum. I just am getting blasted every time I write something for not being anti-turning point.

If a congressman were allowing his constituents to mow his lawn, do his laundry, cook his meals; accept "gifts" from his constituents, would he not run afoul of ETHIC rules and standards? And, if this is true, are we then to conclude that politicians adhere to higher ethics than do the leaders of TPC?

TPR, You just made a Great point!

Neither are governers allowed to own there own business.

I wonder if he could be in IRS trouble by not reporting these gifts? These are an income of sorts. I wonder if the IRS knows? Does the IRS know about the free Harley? Was that claimed as a gift on his taxes? Or, was it determined to be a tithe? Are people now tithing Mike instead of giving God the first of their income? Hmm. Very interesting. Any politician who has a house cleaner and does not claim the gift or expense, or using someones jet or getting free gifts etc. gets in HUGE trouble.

CORRECTION

When I wrote my last post about Mike's sermon I included three names at the end. Someone was kind enough to tell me two of those people were out of town.

I don't attend and didn't know they were gone, but I could have named any of 30-40 names of people who know that Mike is mischaracterizing the concerns others have about the apostolic.

Sorry about that. As far as I know the rest of what I wrote still stands.

"GodsWarrior":

Be honest.

You are here as and apologist and/or to subvert this thread.

You don't seem interested in any meaningful exchange of ideas or discussion and your posts demonstrate this repeatedly.

Some of your posts have not been approved for this reason.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the point of this forum, but I think that an honest two way conversation is healthy. Unless GW is going out of his way to hurl insults at individuals here, I think that you should allow his posts. I assume that we are all adults here, and can handle a little bit of *confrontation* or disagreement. Who cares if he is an apologist? I really mean that. He has questions and opinions just like the rest of us, and imo, has as much *right* as we do to share them.

I have had private message conversations with a number of posters here. There have been times tht we've been in disagreement, but our differences opened up opportunities for a dialog that otherwise would have been stiffled. Nothing in those *debates* was really private, and there was no reason for them to take place off the board, except that, that type of exchange doesn't appear to be encouraged here. I must say that I am very disappointed by that.

God's Warrior, I really appreciate you posting on this forum and would love to hear more from you.

I think we need to realize that if you come accross as angry defensive or are questioning our character (I don' think you have really done this) it is completley understandable.

If someone were to tell me that my dad was a terrible person who was stealing etc..., my natural reaction would come across as angry, defensive etc.. yet at the same time I would want to discover the truth and hopefully clear his name.

You have been more than honest about answering our questions on this forum and I feel that your purpose is to discover the truth. It could be that we are wrong and that Mike is the one who is correct.

While many on this forum have been hurt and find it hard to share, that doesn't mean that it is easy for you to come here.

I think all of us can remeber when we still believed everything at turnigpoint and how difficult it was to face the fact that we were going to a destructive church. As long as GW is not posting anything that is directly attacking the members of this forum I welcome what he has to say.

However I think the moderator can see this issue more clearly than we can since he has seen all of his posts.
This thread is title "share your story," so maybe it would be better for GW or someone else to create a new thread which is focused more on those from tp dialoging and questioning what we have to say.

None of us are perfect and if what you are posting is false, then we will see through it. Also if you post something that is completely wrong or angry it will only prove that we are correct. Just as I am sure you feel about what we post.

---Gods warrior- I would love for you to private message me, esspecially the ones that banned as the fact that they were banned makes me really want to read them.----

Yes Northwest, perhaps you are right and we need to start a new thread for these types of conversations. I will look into it.......

Moderator,

Thanks for your input. We know that you have a great deal of experience in moderating not only this thread but many other threads on this site.

I would just like to point out that Gods Warrior has actually taken time to engage in fair exchange. I asked several questions of Godswarrior which he was willing to answer. You will note that GodsWarrior states in his answers to some of those questions that he/she has some concerns regarding the practices at TPc.

I believe Gods Warrior is not ANTI TPC nor are most of the posters on this thread. I also believe GW believes his church and leaders may be unjustly "maligned" on this site by myself and other posters. I also believe GW is here because they want to know the truth. As long as GW doesnt resort to intimidation and bullying tactics I think we should encourage his/her participation.

Thanks.

FYI for what its worth: A TPC deacon has submitted their formal resignation to the leaders at TPC. This is all I know at this time.

Also, Jackie's resignation was NOT announced to the church.

Wow

I thought this was a forum to openly discuss both side of this issue. If it just for the forme people of TPC to vent their hurts I am on the wrong Forum. I personaly know Godswarrior and they are an honest upstanding Godly person who is truly seeking the truth of this situation. Once again we shut a pro TPC voice down in a swift and what seems to me unjustified manner. I believe the board as a whole needs to know why this has happened? Was there been personal; attacks on their part. (I have not seen any worse than long time posters)

Godswarrior is in a position within TPC to actualy get answers to the questions we all have. They are not a person of weak character just the opposite. They will pursue the question until it is answered or that will be an answer in itself.

Congratulations you have chased another questioning TPC member back to the fold. If this is the way that all pro TPC oppinions are treated I am definitely at the wrong forum. Is htis not a "debate style" board? If so we need to have descenting oppinion to continue the validity of having this up. Is this simply a story telling site with no debate involved than I agree let us start a new thread were we can actualy do some debate. I agree with Broken hearted we are adults here we need to be allowed to make our own decisions about the content (within reason) I feel up to this time we have been very good at calling each other to account if we get of line.

Please feel fee to address my concerns privately or on the forum. I need to know whether I am off base and need to find another Forum or if this is the place to help get questions answered and start the healing process.

VNM
