I'd like to hear from others who have been involved in a church that was run (make that ruled) by a BJU graduate or graduates (deacons, etc.). What was your experience like? Did you find the leadership almost cult-like? Please, share anything on this matter.

I recently left a church run by BJU graduates and it was like leaving a cult. The story is too lengthy for here, but I'm thankful I left. However, they refuse to accept my withdrawal from membership. As I said, the story is too lengthy for this forum, but suffice it to say that the leadership disregarded Matthew 18, have been trying to control my life, and have spread vicious and slanderous rumors about me.

So, I am curious if anyone else has experienced a similar situation. Also, in your experience did they refer to Dr. Bob as though he were deity and Bob Jones University as the center of the universe . . . the ONLY true bible school?
