Are you referring to the one led by George Geftakys?

Who is the leader?

THE ASSEMBLY led by George Geftakys. I know it has broke up. But I wondered if there are any current revivals or updates?

Despite the sex and wife beating scandals regarding the Geftakys family, it seems they are still trying to keep things going.

See [www.culteducation.com]

The subsection is arranges with the most recent articles first.

There are also threads discussing Geftakys within this message board.

See "Search" at the top bar and type in "Geftakys."

Thank you for the information you posted ten years ago regarding the Assemblies of George Geftakys. As a result of this information and information from other sources, many people were able to leave the group all at once, causing most of the abusive churches which comprised the "Assemblies" to implode.

Now, however, there is a new development concerning George Geftakys' son Timothy, who was an elder and one of the chief men in the group. After many of the Assemblies folded, Tim was left without an income, as he, like George, had been living entirely off of the offerings donated by group members. After most of the Assemblies dissolved, Tim tried his hand at selling real estate and worked for a while at a summer camp while his wife Ginger taught at a university in California. Now, however, he and his wife have founded a financial collection "ministry" to support the efforts of a man in Nigeria, Samuel Ochenjele by name, who was for a time a disciple of George Geftakys and who himself also controls a chain of Nigerian churches whose gifts and offerings enable Samuel and his wife to live comfortably without working. Indeed, Samuel's methods of control and domination closely mirror the methods used by George Geftakys over the Assemblies George led. Here is a link (http://www.geftakysassembly.com/Articles/AssemblyTeachingPractice/NigeriaReport.htm) which explains how Samuel is able to control the churches under his leadership and enjoy his all-expense-paid lifestyle. And here (http://pilgrimsprovisionsministries.wordpress.com/contact/) is a link to the organization which Tim Geftakys and his wife Ginger have recently founded in order to collect labor, technical talent, and most importantly, money, in order to further the "ministry" of Samuel in Nigeria. Not only are Tim and Ginger involved, but also two other former Assembly leaders, Mark Miller and Mike Struven.

That is a shame that Mike Struven is involved in this. He was a bit abrasive, but seemed to be authentic--especially his wife Cindi. What is Wes Cohen doing? And what about Russ Graff?
