Morning Star/Trinity - Friends' Engagement

I have some friends in an apostolic church.
I believe that it is the "accountability" counsel of their team that has caused the guy to call off their engagement.

They are fantastic people and I love them both very much. How do I talk to them about their church? I go to a great church that I love.

The whole situation has me just in knots. It is so sad because I truly believe that they belong together and i feel like this church is making their lives so artificial and full of all these bizarre commands, rules, and most of all - DRAMA.

Please advise me. The woman doesn't want to call off the wedding, and I don't want to see it happen either. If they could just get out of this church, I think they could have a ridiculously happy and blessed life together.

Please help!

Your friends are very fortunate indeed to have someone like you who is concerned for their spiritual and emotional well-being.
I think that Morningstar is a part of Every Nation, or Every Nation is the new name for Morningstar Ministries, but I am not sure. I do know that Every Nation is a cult-like abusive organsation. I met a friend who had been exit counseled from that group, and she was still in a pretty bad emotional state.
Have you read this reply here on this forum: [board.culteducation.com]

You might also want to contact www.wellspringretreat.org. They are a group that specialises in cult survivors' recovery, and they might be able to tell you how many Every Nation survivors they have helped.

Then, you could mention any facts you have learned to your friends in a casual way at first, to get them to start questioning the leadership methods of their church.
