Thanks for all the input, everyone. I guess the overall point I want to make is that my mind and body are TOTALLY removed from time- it has been like this for almost a year now ever since I read TPoN and it makes proper time managent a real bitch when you're a student. Like i'd be hearing the clock ticking and there's never in my head "i need to do this or that" or "be there, etc", like I literally have forcefully talk to myself to make myself actually go and try to get stuff done. I guess this is the intended effect that ET wants out of each individual- to lose the"little me", realize the power and significance of the present moment, stop identification with the mind (which basically means exchanging the majority of your own thoughts for his babble) and "dissolve the ego" as though it's really that bad of a thing which, collectively, threatens to "destroy us all" along with the entire planet, implying the entire human race. colectively, is in dire need of an "awakening".
I honestly wouldn't mind getting the old me back, even just for a bit- at least it would make me back in time like normal people, not be like some tansparent spirit from an alternate dimension without an identity.
I'd have a solid sense of myself again and it would greatly aid in time management but i'm not sure if this is something that a professional can help me with..

Tiredofthis,

Here are some useful links regarding some of the symptoms you describe. This is written by a UK NHS neurologist as a patients guide, he makes the point that it to help people decide if their symptoms need the treatment of a professional, is not intended as a means of self-diagnosis which is always tricky. Even good MD's don't diagnose themselves or their families as the personal connection has a habit of skewing the diagnosis.

Nobody here has the expertise to help you, you need a face-to-face real-world consultation to have any hope of making progress. Anonymous people on the internet, however well-intentioned, are not in a position to offer much concrete help other than referring you to a specialist professional. Here is more info on the subject of dissociation. It has become far more understood in the past twenty five years and is now believed to be as common as depression and anxiety disorders:

'Advances in the Diagnosis of Dissociative Disorders
Over the past twenty five years, there has been an increase in scientific research on the diagnosis and treatment of dissociative disorders.'

Get some real-world help. Whatever the problem turns out to be, if indeed there is a significant problem which only a professional can determine, real-world help is the only solution.
