Even the government want to get their hands on Sai Baba's wealth.

Sathya Sai Baba health: AP govt team to assess trust takeover
[economictimes.indiatimes.com]

After all, it was the corruption in local government, who kept Sai Baba in business.

There are countless millions socked away all over the place, and of course, its inconceivable the corruption is going to be exposed, too many people on the take are at risk.
Solution? Let those who are at risk of getting exposed, take the entire thing over, under some pretext.

Now they blame someone throwing an old village idol away, on Sai Baba's health problems!
The amount of garbage printed uncritically in the India "press", makes the US look like a paradise of critical thinking.
Have yet to see a shred of asking for proof of anything in the Indian press.
Who knows, maybe its fear of sparking a riot, with even one word that is not praise for the fake Godman?

Who knows, maybe the Sai Baba org has a small army of "friendlies" in the media to print what they want?
But no question, even after Sai Baba's death, it will be business as usual for Sai Baba Inc.

Miracle man awaits a divine ‘miracle’

Robert Priddy is interesting. A former Sai Baba believer, who even ran one of the centers, who then started to look into what is really going on with Sai Baba.

Hi......Thanks to all who have posted here....Can anyone explain why Sai Baba looks so bad now (and has been for a view years)....I mean I would understand if he felt guilt/shame for all that he is accused of doing to boys and fake tricks etc BUT from my understanding psychopaths dont feel guilt or remorse...Maybe it is just bad physical health but man he aged incredibly poorly...Maybe he has been struggling for years with ailments that have not been reported to the public?...

Certainly all Sai Baba's ailments were hidden, as he's supposed to be the Lord of the Universe, not just some aging guy.
But at age 85, health can drop very quickly.

There also seems to be a few people talking about a conspiracy of some of his handlers wanting to get rid of him early?
Aging Gurus are often mistreated by their most senior handler, if that person wants to inherit everything. Same as in any other dysfunctional system.
Once someone gets old and frail, sometimes those around them pressure them to write a new will, sign over assets, etc.

Everyone is already swooping in to take their piece of the Sai Baba empire. Its shocking such a blatant fraud, is apparently believed by so many.

One doubts Sai Baba had a day of guilt in his life, even after all the horrible things he did to so many people.

Just watch, if he dies, the Sai Baba Inc PR spin-machine, will release all sorts of stories and fabrications about his deathbed "miracles". Its a massive money-machine, with many people on the take, including the local government.

Its all about business.
Sai Baba Inc is big business for the locals.

[timesofindia.indiatimes.com]
"Apart from spivvy resorts, private guesthouses and lodges, there are over 200 apartment complexes in and around Puttaparthi that cater to pilgrims from India and abroad. '' We're in a mess. We're worried about our business ventures,'' said another land agent. "

A world famous guru brings much more than money to his or her locale.

More important--a world famous guru becomes a political patron and helps his or her village and devotees GET THINGS DONE.

Even in India, having mega money isnt in itself enough to get things done. You need patrons to pull strings for you, speak well of you.

India always needs people like that because its own government fails so poorly in serving its people.

So, any time a guru or warlord dies, someone else steps into the role--because one needs these fixers. They get things done, they bring hope.

Putthaparthi was a small, poor village and Satya Sai Baba turned it into not only Las Vegas but a political hub.

Tim Ward, in his book, The Great Dragon's Fleas, written in the 1980s, described how devotees would get into fights to see who would be able to get and keep choice front line seating where the guru would walk by. To prevent this fights, tickets had to be assigned at random.

This alone demonstrates that it was all about craving, from the very start.

Everyone gets in on it. The politicians suck up to him because gurus can bring in votes.

A guru who is mega famous and his favorites function like local government in a country where it is otherwise impossible to get things done.

They can pull strings and assist their devotees to get things done--everything from getting electricity installed, garbage picked up, permission to build new housing (otherwise very hard to get), getting your child into a good school, a job, a university placement.

A gang leader, like Bal Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena, with his enforcers, held court and was visited by Bollywood movie producers and stars, courted by politicians, just like Satya Sai Baba.

According to Suketu Mehta, in Maximum City, even Michael Jackson made sure to visit Bal Thackeray to ensure approval of his concert in Bombay and gave a heft sum of money to a Sena charity. Both gurus and politician patrons like Thackeray are courted by celebrities.

Whether its a warlord or a gamous guru, these persons with their charisma, money and enforcers who see them as gods, function as patrons, like the old time Tammany Hall ward bosses, or like Godfather Corleone in Mario Puzo's novel. The scene where many people show up begging Don Corleone to assist them--one to get his bakery apprentice US citizenship, another who wants to arrange for thugs to be beaten who assaulted his daughter...they go and sit and tell their difficulties to Don Corleone and...he gets things done.

One thing noted by Puzo is that in Don Corleone's own neighborhood, there is no crime. His minions would swiftly punish any punk activity and do it more quickly than the local police could do.

Ditto with a powerful Indian guru.

Meanwhile the trinket sellers, the hotels and bungalows taxis nd tour busses make business. Small restaurants and markets catering to pilgrims make business. Crooks will make money claiming they can get you a private interview.

Sad thing is, the real reason why these ward leader gurus continue to appear is that in India, government is not effective at maintaining quality of life for all of its citizens.

You need mega fixers--that society always needs Big Leaders on local level who can run parallel governments with enforcers to Get Things Done.

It not only gives spiritual hope, but gives desperate people a place to go when they need a roof fixed or to keep the government from plowing their shantytowns down.

Thing was, one could question Bal Thackeray as a human being (so long as you were at a very safe distance)

But to question Sathya Sai Baba who was just as much a fixer as Thackeray--that was to dare question God and Indian Values and you'd be targeted by maniacs, both by Western devotees as well as by Indians.

A society that needs fixers is not a healthy or happy society.

The followers of Sai Baba seem to really believe he is a Godman, just a flat out delusion.

But the senior Sai Baba Inc people, and politicians, they know its a scam, but they are in on it, and have their fingers in the pot.
For example, the Sai Baba Inc company, is now putting out "articles" that say this is a "test" for the followers of Sai Baba, and that God in a human form will suffer for his followers karma, same old stuff.
The crooks at the top of Sai Baba Inc who know this is a big scam, will just keep running the scam after he is gone.
And they are injecting their own PR propaganda into the media, to influence how people think.

As well, as stated by others, the "humanitarian" projects done in his name, are really just a front, and only contain a very small amount of the total money flowing through the system. If those "charities" were investigated by a real accountant, could you imagine the graft and corruption?
But it will never happen. If you are going to have a corrupt system in a disorganized country, get the government and police leaders involved in it, and then it can't be investigated.
When you look into it, it all makes sense how Sai Baba was able to get away with it for so long. When you are paying that kind of graft protection money, then you are safe.

Sathya Sai Baba's health woes 'just a test for believers'
Submitted by admin5 on 6 April 2011 - 8:37pm

* India News

By IANS,

New Delhi : Unperturbed by reports of spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba's health condition, the staff at the Sri Sathya Sai International Centre here said this was just a test of belief for his followers and that they were confident the bad phase will pass.

"We were not worried. There was no special prayer service because we know this is just a test of belief for his followers," Rakesh Joshi, administrative officer of the centre, told IANS Wednesday.

A follower of Sathya Sai Baba for the past 40 years, Joshi, however, added that scores of people have been coming to the centre ever since news of his poor health spread .

"People have been coming and meditating on their own. We have a bhajan session every Sunday and last Sunday we had a lot of people. But we have not organised anything special," he said.

"When you see Sathya Sai Baba healing people in front of you, you start believing, you start having faith. But you also have to understand that when god is in human form, he has to follow the process of the human body. Do you know any individual who has never fallen ill?" Joshi asked.

The condition of the 85-year-old spiritual guru, who was admitted to the super speciality hospital in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh March 28, remains stable but critical, according to doctors treating him.

Even as the Sai International Centre remained serene and a meditation session was on Wednesday afternoon, the guard at the gate said: "Nothing has changed since we came to know that Sathya Sai Baba was not well. People are coming in like usual".

"I have heard that even Shirdi Sai Baba had fallen seriously ill and his followers were very worried, but the bad phase passed. This will pass too," he added.

And those in the west think our "media" is bad. Its far worse in India, even in English!
Here is another bizarre set of apologetics for Sai Baba, this time on a "medical" blog.
Its hard to know if this is propaganda from a Sai Baba follower, or sincere?

It seems to never cross anyone's mind that in fact, Sai Baba has been performing crummy magic tricks, and is just a big fraud?
Of course, printing something like that might lead to a riot, but so far there appears in India to have been not one single word of criticism or question about Sai Baba, except in the public comment sections.

So no wonder there is a "Godman" on every corner performing cheap magic tricks, why not, if no one demands actual proof of your supernatural claims? Its scary.

Why Godmen Need Doctors

Nothing amuses and astonishes skeptics more than the bizarre relationships they witness between godmen and doctors. The most famous godman in our present-day world, Sri Sathya Sai Baba was hospitalized on March 28 with a lung infection. The latest news on his condition is that his kidneys have failed and he is on ventilator support at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

The godman to whom millions turned for cures, miracles and blessings is unable to cure himself and is undergoing a very normal, human phase in his ‘divine’ lifetime. Goes to show that godmen too, need doctors. On the other hand, it is an open secret that highly qualified doctors run after astrologers and godmen to seek fulfillment of their innermost desires. These ‘men and women of science’ believe in tantra-mantra, wear lucky stones, charms and adhere to auspicious days and timings.

The rigours of a scientist’s academic discipline is based on empirical verification. The practice of science relies on investigation and validation. True scientists are, therefore, not supposed to be inclined towards the paranormal or the mystical. But in real life, many of them are worshippers of faith healers, and that too, unashamedly. Much like a godman who unembarrassedly seeks medical relief.

How can all the miracles and divine interventions performed by a great spiritual seer, be validated when he cannot cure himself? To this, a devotee of Sai Baba says, “ Sai Baba is God himself. He can cure himself with a click of his fingers, but he has chosen not to. Though he is extraordinary, he wants to meet his end as an ordinary human being.’

Another devotee joins in, “Sai Baba is God. He has saved many lives. This is only his great Leela (a game-play). We are optimistic he will get well soon.”

But even godmen need prayers. A devotee posted on a media website, “Baba we are all praying for you. We are performing the Maha Mrityunjay Jaap. Please leave the hospital and come to us. We love you madly as always.”

It is difficult not to be swayed by such religious and spiritual fervour – a devotee’s faith in his God.

We all know that godmen and their devotees, the worshipped and worshipper, have a symbiotic relationship. The former is the powerful protector, whereas, the latter is the meek, protected party. One nurtures the other and one cannot exist without the other.

In such a relationship and the one discussed above, faith brings together two extremes of the spectrum - science and mysticism. Faith proves to be the binding glue in such and other unlikely relationships in life.

Robert Priddy gets it, he promoted Sai Baba for years, then woke up. More about the fake diamonds, and fake gifts, which are just bad magic parlor tricks, but sadly people fall for it.
[robertpriddy.wordpress.com]

There is very disturbing reports, that Sai Baba has a defacto sexual abuser ring around him, where some boys he abused have grown-up, and are doing the same.

QUOTE: "Moreover, I have a duty to make known what I have learned that only few others who dare speak out know to be true, to protect the vulnerable and provide the information for those who do not wish to fall into any of his traps, especially sexual abuse at his collegres or university, where it has been reported to me by several insiders among former students that all his staff were aware of Sathya Sai Baba having abused countless students. These boys and young men were totally powerless to do anything about it, and cannot obtain redress or any form of normal justice under the present regime in India. That is a well-recognised fact among the many decent and concerned Indians who contact us about him. Some of his current staff are his former 'form boys', who perpetuate the abuses themselves"
