It may indeed be the most widely distributed magazine in the world. But, when I have been visited by the witnesses, I often take copies on the theory that a) it keeps them out of the hands of other, more gullible people; b) it costs the organization money to print, so I am helping them waste that money; and c) they are often an amusing read. I would never actually fall for their saccharine sweet-vision heaven on earth, even though I did fall for another cults line for a while.

Their picture of "paradise" is suburbia! yech! Give me the city or give me the wilderness, but all those mowed lawns and trimmed hedges? uh-uh. Ain't converting me to THAT.
