Some media is now reporting about Colleen Conaway, over 2 months after the story came out in this thread.

It looks like the local San Diego authorities need to have national media pressure before they will properly investigate what really happened to Colleen Conaway.
There are so many obvious lies by those at that seminar who even say they saw it happen, or were told about it, and did not tell anyone...why not start investigating there?
If the sweat lodge "only" had one death, that would have been covered-up too. Does it take multiple deaths before its worth investigating?
A human being dies while actually attending a seminar, DURING a seminar, and nothing happens?
How can someone die during a seminar, with all of the obvious lies surrounding the event, and nothing happens?
Is Arizona a different country than San Diego?

Previous James Ray Event Turned Deadly
Before the deadly Arizona sweat lodge incident, Colleen Conaway jumped to her death from the third floor of a mall in San Diego during another event Ray held at which he had his followers dress as homeless people.
Conaway's sister, Lynn Graham, said Conaway had no history of psychological problems.
"We would have never, ever thought this would have happened to her from attending a motivational speaker or a self-help guru. … It makes no sense to us," Graham said.
...Neither Ray nor his staff announced Conaway's death to the other attendees of the conference; everyone attended a black tie party the following night.

Family Blames Woman's Death On Self-Help Guru

SAN DIEGO -- Family members blame the death of a woman during a Horton Plaza seminar on the event's sponsor, self-help guru James Arthur Ray.
Members of Minnesotan Colleen Conaway's family said they would like the San Diego Police Department to re-open its investigation of Conaway's death in late July.
During the "Creating Absolute Wealth" seminar, the family said Conaway and others were placed downtown and told to pretend to be homeless for a self-sufficiency exercise. Conaway then jumped from the third floor of Horton Plaza to her death, according to authorities.
Loved ones said she did not suffer from depression and just lost 90 pounds in two years. Family members said Conaway was planning to write a recipe book and start a business.
The family wants to know what role Ray's event may have played in her death. Conaway's sister, Lynn Graham said, "It could have been brainwashing. He's been known for heavy-handed tactics. She went from someone excited about life to someone who was completely alone in a span of two days. You can't put people in such an emotional state and then just dump them."
Less than three months later, 3 people died in a sweat lodge event in Arizona held by Ray.
One detail the family is concerned about is that the event bus picked up everybody, but left without Conaway. It would be seven hours before Ray's group reported her missing.
Ray's group issued the following statement: "There is no evidence whatsoever that Mr. Ray or James Ray International contributed to or could have prevented Ms. Conaway's tragic suicide."
San Diego police said the case remains closed unless there is new evidence.

A woman died at Ray event prior to Sedona sweat-lodge incident

PHOENIX -- Self-help guru James Arthur Ray is making headlines once again.
He's the man at the center of the Sedona sweat-lodge death investigation.
It's being reported that a woman died at a Ray event months before the Sedona incident.
The woman, Colleen Conaway, killed herself during a retreat in San Diego back in July.
But Ray didn't tell the other participants and he even attended a black-tie event after learning about her death.
Conaway's family says there's no explanation for her death. There were no drugs or alcohol in her system.
