James Arthur Ray, a barely controlled series of shit-eating grins

That is what is called a barely controlled series of shit-eating grins by James Arthur Ray [www.ajc.com]

He pulled it off, and will get himself out on the streets asap.
A bail hearing is not an audit, and is just a ballpark figure.
But of course he socked away the millions, that will have to wait for full audits in other proceedings.
James Ray would certainly believe he is going to get away with it.

James Arthur Ray, ok to SUFFER emotional, financial, other injuries!

So they won't allow James Ray to do "sweat lodges" or other seminars that have a "significant risk of physical harm".

So that would mean James Arthur Ray can go right back to doing his exact same series of advanced LGAT seminars throughout the USA, with some adjustments, in the next years as this plays out.

Note it says "physical harm", and does not mention the more than 3 other types of injury that are listed by James Ray in his waiver.

Note the James Ray waiver says
---------------------------
[forum.culteducation.com]
"injury to the undersigned’s person (whether physical, emotional, psychological, financial or otherwise) or property or resulting in death, ...
I am fully aware and understand that I will be given the opportunity by the Company to
participate in physical, emotional and other activities during the Event, some of which
may take place outdoors and/or require the participants to be isolated from one another and/or include very loud music. I am fully aware that I may suffer physical, emotional, financial or other injury"
------------------------------
So they said James Ray cannot PHYSICALLY harm people with a significant risk.
What about the other kinds of injury listed?
So one must assume that its ok for him to engage in LGAT seminars that result in the other 3 areas of injuries he listed other than physical...
EMOTIONAL injury, PSYCHOLOGICAL injury, FINANCIAL-property injury, and OTHER injuries.
Those are the key components of the LGAT seminar, psychological and emotional injury, as a mechanism to create the financial injury, thus the income for the seminar company.

That is another reason James Ray has a shit-eating grin, as apparently he can start up his exact same LGAT seminar system, and his trick "free seminars" that tour the USA looking for fresh meat to sign up to his expensive LGAT seminars.
All he has to do is just cut-out the "significant" physical torture and sweat lodges in the more advanced LGAT's, and just focus on the psychological, emotional and financial injury exploitation techniques, same as before.

And one assumes he can even do his LGAT seminars with a less than "significant risk" whatever that is. Does that mean a moderately serious physical risk is ok then?

So he'll be able to rally his remaining followers who still support him, and also hunt the USA for fresh meat with his touring LGAT seminar system salespitch.

As predicted, OPM, Other People Money...is going to pay his costs.
The LGAT seminars will start up again, even if they are internally organized at first, and those followers are going to pay his costs, as they have done already. Its their money he is using.
If he can fill one Modern Magick LGAT seminar with 200 followers, that is over 1.2 million for the attorney's.

This is why so many serious scam artists and serious crooks in the USA who are charismatic, go into the LGAT seminar scam. The profits are so high, the "cost of doing business" of human injuries is only a tiny percentage of gross revenues.

Here is the entire ruling from Judge Darrow: [www.prescottenews.com]
"(5) The Defendant must not organize, supervise, or conduct sweat lodge ceremonies and other sweat lodge activities and must not organize, supervise, or conduct business activities of any kind that involve a significant risk of physical harm to any other person."

Why can't this judge see that the deaths of these three people (four if you count Colleen Conaway) had nothing whatsoever to do with a sweat lodge, but everything to do with psychological manipulation?

The totally indoctrinated James Ray followers (and possible media propagandists) like "Hermia Nelson" (quotes below) are part of the serious persuasion process to get the remaining JAR followers to pay the piper. One can imagine the extremely intense group persuasion happening inside the James Ray inner circle to reframe his claims that the wealth master Guru says he is broke.

It would trigger a self-satisfied smirk in James Ray that he has been able to pull that one off.
- claim for years you are a wealth master who is making many millions a year
- make millions a year convincing your followers you make millions a year.
- and then instantly turnaround and say you are broke and convince some others of that.
- then cry victimhood when you are the perpetrator, and create a new emotional manipulation process (using a fake limp, and many other tactics) to extract even MORE money from the same followers who believed you when you said you were making millions.
That would trigger a self-satisifed smirk in any arrogant manipulator Guru.

There is another old stand-by Guru technique used when when they get caught and get into trouble.
Fabricate a cancer diagnosis rumor, or another serious life-threatening disease.
That works like Modern Magick to create instant sympathy in the followers who might start to have a few doubts about the conflicting stories from the Guru.

Even while in lockup, James Ray has been clever enough to encourage his inner circle to keep the indoctrination and deep LGAT programming of his remaining followers "hot" by using those conference calls.
That also works to "keep the story" about the sweat lodge the way he wants to keep it.
It will be interesting how witness contamination will play out in the time ahead.

Using those conference calls, is using repetition and direct social influence to counteract the facts that keep coming out about the case, and solidify the in-group seige us-vs-them mentality of the remaining James Ray followers.
These "prayer circles" sound like a code word. They say prayer circle in the media, and people think of the standard concept. But the James Ray version of the prayer circle, would be something else entirely.
But again, that is a very clever technique. To take the remaining followers, and deeply and emotionally continue to link and enmesh them with James Ray and his organization, in their deepest belief systems.
It would be very interesting to get a hold of a transcript/recording of one of these James Ray prayer circle vigils, to see that tactics at work to deeply reinforce the bond to James Ray in peoples core belief systems. They can use guided imagery and suggestions that are repeated and reinforced regularly. Those are the followers who will carefully read the James Ray propaganda posted on his website almost on a daily basis.

When a Guru gets in trouble, its not that hard to keep the inner circle True Believers in line, as a seige mentality sets in. The worse it gets, often the more they seem to believe. The Guru knows humans can literally be persuaded to believe ANYTHING, if a person knows how to do it.

Once James Ray hits the streets again, all he has to do is put together some in-person meetings and seminars with those inner circle followers, and work even deeper into their programming, which for many of them has been happening for years.
There seem to be no restrictions at all on James Ray from meeting personally with followers who attended his seminars, including the death lodge. So those "witnesses" to the death lodge who are still followers will be in the bag, as they say.

The Sedona sweat lodge was many things. But one of the main tactics used by extreme LGAT seminars, is to create very extreme emotional experiences to create a deep bond to the Guru and the group. One step up would be to manufacture serious trauma within the group, to create a deep bond the Guru hopes will last for years, and even for life.

All Guru's know you only need a few hundred serious followers with money to spend (repeat high-ticket customers) to keep the gravy train rolling. Only a mere 200 close followers who spend only 10K a year each, makes 2 million a year for the Guru. That is how these LGAT Guru's think, they cost their lifestyle, and figure out how many followers/customers they need, and how much money needs to come from each follower.
This is why they create their World Wealth Societies or platinum partnerships, and other scams.
The James Ray World Wealth Society costs 20K to join, and apparently "costs" $60,000 a year per person. So the goal would likely be to get 100 people x 60K for 6 million a year to the LGAT Guru.
Every LGAT Guru has a scam like that, to extract money from inner circle followers who have money, and who want to believe they are "friends" of the Guru. And those are the high-ticket repeat customers.

The James Ray sweat lodge and other LGAT seminars at that level, are designed to deeply and totally indoctrinate followers for years to come, some for life. And to get them to keep coming back, year after year, and to recruit those with money to join the inner circle, for a mere 60K a year at minimum.

Of course, for those with serious family money, they get "special treatment" from the Guru personally.

"Hermia Nelson, 45, said she and others have been holding conference calls and prayer circles in support of Ray's release and was hopeful that he now might speak out about his side of the story and continue his teachings.
"His teachings absolutely need to go on, in whatever form I'm sure it will become clear down the road what that will be," said Nelson, of New York."

"But Hermia Nelson, 45, from New York, says the two "Spiritual Warrior" retreats she attended were intense and cathartic. "You go into super-turbo-therapy mode, and he makes you get into all those things you have hidden," she said.
The sweat lodge sessions didn't seem particularly dangerous, Nelson added. "Everyone was very encouraging, and it was a very loving environment in there."

As predicted, James Ray is instantly on the streets, free to restart his LGAT seminar schedule at will.

And you better believe he has a high level of confidence he'll be able to beat the rap, or minimize it.
Since he's kept himself and his companies in the red by design, like all LGAT Gurus, he has that protection as well.
He'll be financed by OPM.

They will now use everything they know about advanced persuasion on a jury, to create doubt. Experts in engineering "belief" also know how to engineer "doubt", and that is all it really takes.

Its always a serious error to misunderestimate LGAT Gurus. Its not easy or simple to be an LGAT Guru and run those advanced seminars, even a mediocre one. They are also practiced at making themselves appear less clever than they really are, as that makes followers trust them more.
The public image has nothing to do with what goes on behind the scenes.

"Hernia" Nelson founded a "nonprofit organization". “Compassion Happens” – where the brilliance of business meets the passion of philanthropy.

Great plan where you pay $79 a month and 10% goes to a badly planned and probably racist and stupid "charity" scheme. And the rest of the money, well look at the diagram in the link.

Why would this stupid "charity" scheme be racist?

Fair question, Christa.
I meant racist in a fairly loose sense of the word. In brief, good, well run charities tend to focus on human rights and social justice, and address not only immediate effects of poverty, but also its causes in each particular community. They see the recipients as people of equal value to us, who are in an intolerable political situation.

However, it's easier for fundraising to avoid complex issues and portray the situation as "helpless dark skinned children far away need the help of your superior rich civilized ways." This kind of thinking tends to create poorly thought out programs - eg., child sponsorship, where a particular child gets sponsored and other unsponsored kids miss out. It makes more sense for a whole community to get sponsored.

(Some of the "child sponsorship" programs actually do this, but promote it as if a donor is sponsoring a particular child.)

Note that i said "probably racist". Looking briefly at their marketing it looks like its driven by an unsubstantiated spiritual ideology rather than by research into what actually works for development, and the fact that as little as 10% actually gets put into the project makes it look to me like a scam using racist (or quasi-racist) stereotypes to promote it.

The fact that its founder is Hermia Nelson, who is currently trying to slime her way deeper into Death Ray's social network as well as closer to Mr God Himself, makes me immediately suspicious of a scam. Worl Wealth Society members are instructed to donate money to a charity, and oh look, Madam Hernia has a good one. What a coincidence!

This seems related to Hermia's MLM -like 'philanthropy' model:

------------
I just took a closer look at HUB, and it seems Hermia modeled her CompassionHappens concept of MLM-like compensation for donors on HUB, which has sponsors (uplines) - before you can join, you see this page

Both apparently claim non-profit status.

Btw, She is apparently very devoted to The Secret and to some who appeared in it. She's also a big fan of Byron Katie.

James Ray - Hermia Nelson, Compassion Happens, MLM scam
Posted by: The Anticult ()

No wonder Hermia Nelson is shilling for James Ray in the media, she is in the same business herself. She is also selling her own life-coaching, and is listed as a co-founder of Compassion Happens.

But Compassion Happens is not a non-profit.
It actually looks like a pyramid scheme, not just an MLM scam, which is probably why they haven't launched it yet.

QUOTE: "Compassion Happens intends to pay lucrative affiliate commissions to members and non-member affiliate marketers directly responsible for influencing others to purchase a membership."

They use the salespitch of "compassion" for feel-good soft marketing, fueled by GREED telling people they are going to make lots of money for nothing.

The only people who make money on MLM's are the few people who start the pyramid.
Compassion Happens seems like a mechanism to extract $100 a month from people, by appealing to "compassion" in the marketing, and mostly their greed.
Another MLM marketing scam.
